We have an in-house Architectural Finishes &amp; Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>We are seeking a</span><span>n</span><span> </span><span>experienced </span><span>superintendent </span><span>at</span><span> </span><span>our </span><span>Ft. </span><span>Lauderdale</span><span> </span><span>office</span></span></span><span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>What you will do: </span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Prepare and communicate project </span><span>schedule</span><span> to plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project construction </span><span>in accordance with</span><span> design, </span><span>budget</span><span> and schedule.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, and </span><span>submitting</span><span> all invoices to Accounting </span><span>in a timely manner</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions, </span><span>manpower</span><span> and activities in sufficient detail.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensures all parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work </span><span>activities</span><span> are conducted in the safest manner possible.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensures </span><span>appropriate machinery</span><span> and tools are available to assigned construction </span><span>workers</span><span> and that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Schedules and </span><span>participates</span><span> in necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Monitors daily construction procedures </span><span>to make sure</span><span> that proper quality is achieved.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintains consistent daily communication with </span><span>project management </span><span>staff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per company </span><span>procedures</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>What you will need to be successful: </span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Minimum of </span><span>ten </span><span>(</span><span>10</span><span>) </span><span>years</span><span> construction supervisory experience in commercial construction.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Knowledge of South Florida market is preferred; bi-lingual is a plus</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout, etc.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>The ability to read and interpret drawings, </span><span>contracts</span><span> and specifications.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Knowledge of safety regulations</span><span> and enforcement of such</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience scheduling work, materials, </span><span>manpower</span><span>, </span><span>subcontractors</span><span> and equipment.</span></span><br></li>\n<li>Computer skills required – Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), prior experience with scheduling software is a plus.<span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ability to endure frequent </span><span>activity</span><span> such as standing, walking, climbing, bending, reaching above the shoulder, pushing, and pulling.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Occasional activity includes sitting and completing work via a computer or laptop.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>At </span><span>Rycon</span><span> Construction, Inc. we believe outstanding employees build the foundation necessary for excellence in business.
