    "requisitionDescription": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>The Maryland Food Bank (MFB)</strong> is a nonprofit, anti-hunger organization whose mission is to feed people, strengthen communities, and end hunger for more Marylanders. MFB does this work by expanding access to nutritious food while also seeking to eliminate the root causes of hunger.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">MFB&rsquo;s distributes food through a statewide network of community-based organizations from Maryland&rsquo;s western mountains to its Eastern Shore. Last year, the Maryland Food Bank distributed enough food to provide the equivalent of more than 41 million meals, or about 114,000 meals every day. This healthy food supports children, seniors, veterans, and hard-working families.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">MFB works to end hunger for more Marylanders by offering job training programs, access to supportive services and benefits, and by advocating to change to the laws, policies, and practices that create food insecurity for more than 1 in 3 Marylanders.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Maryland Food Bank embraces a philosophy which recognizes and values diversity. Our goal is to attract, develop, retain, and promote a talented diverse workforce in a culture where all employees will contribute to their fullest potential.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>About the position</strong>:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The CDL-A Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering food and other products to Maryland Food Bank partner agencies and distribution sites throughout the state. This position also assists with warehouse operations, including receiving shipments, inventory management, and maintaining food safety standards.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Safely operate Maryland Food Bank vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Transport and deliver food products to partner agencies, distribution sites, and community organizations throughout Maryland.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Load, unload, and secure cargo to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of products.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Verify delivery accuracy and complete all required transportation, delivery, and inventory documentation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Receive incoming food shipments and ensure products are properly staged, stored, and rotated using the FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory method.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operate manual and powered material handling equipment to move inventory weighing up to 75 pounds.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain compliance with all food safety, quality assurance, and occupational safety standards.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support warehouse operations, including inventory management, sanitation, and other duties as assigned to ensure efficient distribution activities.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Valid CDL-A driver&#39;s license.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Clean driving record with no DUI/DWI convictions and fewer than two points on driving record.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication and customer service skills.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">One to two years of CDL driving experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience in a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution environment.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Work is performed in a mixed environment including warehouse, office, partner-sites, and outdoor settings.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exposure to fluctuating temperatures, noise, and non-climate-controlled environments.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Pay Information</strong>:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">$24.00 per hour&nbsp;</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Nothing matters more to the Maryland Food Bank than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
