    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><b>SEASONAL STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER</b></p>\n<p><b>HIRING RANGE: $18.50 PER HOUR&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p>*<b>Starting pay for a candidate with a CDL is $19.00 per hour*</b></p>\n<p><b><u>About the Position:</u></b><br>\n  Street Maintenance Workers complete routine maintenance projects, including road repairs, chip sealing, sidewalk maintenance, light construction, and concrete work; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.<br><br><b><u>What You’ll Do:</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in the construction, repair, and maintenance of roads, irrigation, and stormwater systems!</li>\n <li>Clean and seal cracks</li>\n <li>Rake, shovel and distribute materials necessary for the completion of jobs.</li>\n <li>Operate dump trucks and small equipment as needed.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><i>This position is a safety-sensitive position, which means you will be subject to random drug screens due to the nature of the work performed.</i>&nbsp;<br><br><b><u>What We’re Looking For:</u></b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>\n <li>Applicants must be able to successfully pass a drug screen, background check, and, if required for the specific position, a physical examination.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in all types of weather, including high temperatures in direct sunlight while standing, walking, and/or kneeling.</li>\n <li>Ability to go from one task to another efficiently.</li>\n <li>A team-oriented approach to work.</li>\n <li>Consistent positive attitude and willingness to complete all types of tasks.</li>\n <li>Understand and follow oral and written instructions, and have the ability to do basic arithmetic.</li>\n <li>A valid driver's license.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Possession of a Class “B” Commercial Driver License (CDL) is preferred but not required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b><u>Notice to Applicants:</u></b><br>\n  In compliance with the Colorado Job Application Fairness Act, we kindly request that you <b>do not include the dates of your education</b> to include years of attendance or graduation on your application, resume or attachments.</p>\n<p><b><u>Explore the Area:</u></b><br>\n  Grand Junction, Colorado is the gateway to the mountains and canyonlands of western Colorado and eastern Utah.
