Description
The Vice President of Sales is a strategic leader accountable for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building a high-performing sales organization. As a key member of the Leadership Team (LT), this individual will collaborate closely with peers to shape and execute the Company’s strategic sales and channel strategies, fueling the next generation of growth. Success in this role hinges on the ability to forge strong, collaborative relationships across vertical channels—including Retail, Wholesale and International Aftermarket—while consistently delivering on revenue and market share objectives.
This position demands a dynamic, results-oriented leader who can balance new business development with account growth, retention, and relationship management. The VP of Sales will inspire, coach, and develop a world-class sales team that exceeds targets and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
Drive profit, revenue, and growth objectives across all distribution channels for Fluidmaster (excluding EMEA). Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and market share while ensuring sustainable, long-term profitability. Own the Sales function P&L, including responsibility for revenue, gross margins, pricing, promotions, expenses, and SG&A. Lead the channel-specific business planning process, identify growth opportunities, and hold teams accountable for execution. Provide accurate monthly, annual, and multi-year sales forecasts for defined channels. Establish negotiation strategies for pricing, terms, and conditions; ensure successful implementation to maximize profitability. Create comprehensive sales and marketing plans for existing products, including channel pricing, sales targets, and compensation programs. Collaborate with Marketing leadership to influence new product development and ensure successful launches through aligned sales strategies. Design and implement targeted selling strategies to improve performance in underperforming markets. Explore and apply innovative sales methodologies to strengthen channel partnerships and drive product pull-through. Provide leadership, coaching, and direct oversight to the Director of Retail Sales, Director of Wholesale Sales & International Sales. Manage and guide third-party manufacturer representatives across all U.S., Canadian, and international territories. Translate corporate strategy into actionable channel and account-level plans to achieve profitable growth. Build and maintain strong relationships with key national and regional accounts across all distribution channels. Develop strategic account plans and adapt to evolving customer needs and competitive dynamics. Monitor competitive activity and recommend counter-strategies as needed. Represent Fluidmaster at trade shows, industry associations, and internal/external sales meetings. Oversee and approve Customer Service policies and programs. Approve new customer accounts and negotiate customer programs as required. Travel up to 50%, both domestically and internationally.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing Sales organizations within the consumer products industry. They must demonstrate success in driving growth during periods of expansion and possess the ability to influence peers and executives through both formal authority and informal leadership.
Professional Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; MBA preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in Sales/National Accounts, including at least 5 years in an executive-level leadership role (Director, Vice President, or equivalent). Leadership: Demonstrated expertise in building and managing Sales teams, driving new business development—even in challenging market conditions—and implementing succession planning. Strategic Execution: Proven ability to develop multi-channel sales and promotional strategies and deliver tactical execution. Forecasting & Planning: Strong capability to accurately forecast sales and communicate demand across the supply chain and manufacturing. Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of corporate financial metrics, with the ability to interpret cash flow and income statements and manage full P&L accountability. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the Leadership Team, department managers, team members, and third-party manufacturer representatives. Business Insight: Deep understanding of how decisions impact business plans, budgets, and overall profitability. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
