Summary of Position Temple Health – Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Senior Behavioral Health Unit, a 20-bed inpatient program dedicated to the compassionate, high-quality care of older adults with acute psychiatric needs. This is a faculty role within the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, offering the opportunity to combine meaningful inpatient clinical work with academic engagement, while practicing in a supportive community hospital environment. The SBHU provides short-term inpatient stabilization for older adults experiencing conditions such as depression, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our interdisciplinary team emphasizes patient- and family-centered care, education, and thoughtful discharge planning to support long-term recovery and continuity of care. Located in the picturesque Chestnut Hill neighborhood, this role offers the rare blend of mission-driven care, academic access, and lifestyle balance, supported by the clinical, educational, and research resources of Temple University Health System.
