    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring a <strong>Security Specialist</strong> to support <strong>Special Access Programs (SAP)</strong>. This senior-level role is responsible for protecting highly sensitive information and ensuring compliance with government and company security requirements.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Direct experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) is required for this role.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement, monitor, and maintain security procedures for Special Access Programs.</li>\n <li>Create, update, and enforce SAP standard operating procedures and related documentation.</li>\n <li>Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and recurring training for assigned personnel and approved visitors.</li>\n <li>Manage access control and visitor processing for SAP spaces, including badging and entry authorization.</li>\n <li>Prepare, send, receive, and verify visit certifications, clearances, and access approvals.</li>\n <li>Receive, distribute, inventory, reproduce, and destroy classified materials in accordance with applicable security requirements.</li>\n <li>Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD, NISPOM, ICD, and company security policies.</li>\n <li>Inspect facilities for compliance with physical security standards and recommend corrective actions when needed.</li>\n <li>Partner with government customers, program leadership, and internal teams on SAP security matters.</li>\n <li>Support incident response and reporting for security violations, spills, and related security events.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records for personnel security, visit requests, access logs, and SAP documentation.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance to junior team members and help strengthen security program processes</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>U.S. citizenship required.</li>\n <li>Active <strong>Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)</strong> clearance with <strong>SAP/SAR eligibility.</strong></li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li><strong>At least 5 years of security experience, including direct support of SAP, SAR, or SCI programs.</strong></li>\n <li>Working knowledge of DoD, NISPOM, and ICD security requirements.</li>\n <li>Experience handling classified information, managing access control, and supporting physical security requirements.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.</li>\n</ul> \n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Please apply only if you have direct experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP), SAP/SAR, or SCI security environments</strong></p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $145,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
