Our construction management teams help deliver projects that stay on schedule, within budget, and meet high standards for safety and quality. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong> </p>\n<p><strong>What you’ll be challenged to do:</strong> </p>\n<p>As a Construction Inspector, you will support the construction management team by performing field observations focused on transit and rail projects across New Jersey. You will monitor quality, safety, and compliance on active rail corridors, stations, and related infrastructure, working closely with CM staff to address issues that impact operations, service reliability, and public safety. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong> </p>\n<p><strong>In this role, you will be responsible for:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performing field observations focused on safety, quality, and procedural compliance </li>\n <li>Spot checking work crews to confirm up-to-date documentation is maintained onsite </li>\n <li>Reporting findings and observations to the construction management team </li>\n <li>Supporting a range of transportation and infrastructure projects, including roadway, bridge, rail, and utility work </li>\n <li>Coordinating with field staff and contractors to maintain safe and compliant job sites </li>\n <li>Covering one or multiple project sites based on project complexity and activity levels </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is preferred </li>\n <li>Minimum of 2-10 years of construction inspection experience, with strong rail experience. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with general construction practices, safety procedures, and field documentation requirements </li>\n <li>Exposure to rail, roadway, bridge, and utility construction is preferred </li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across New Jersey </li>\n <li>Certifications such as NICET II to IV, TCC, NJSAT, ACI is preferred </li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Compensation</strong></h3>\n<p>The salary range for this role is  <strong>$80,000 - $175,000;</strong> Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.</p>\n<h3><strong>Featured Benefits</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.</li>\n <li>Wellness programs, parental leave, and pet insurance.</li>\n <li>Tax-deferred 401(k) savings plan.</li>\n <li>Competitive paid-time-off (PTO) accrual.</li>\n <li>Tuition reimbursement for continued education.</li>\n <li>Commitment to professional development with access to internal and external training programs.</li>\n <li>Incentive compensation for eligible positions.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p>At GFT, a privately held AEC firm, we innovate where transportation, water, power and buildings converge.
