    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Hours: M-F 6:00am-2:30pm&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Pay: $37.00-42.00 per hour, plus a $5000 sign on bonus.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Plant Manager<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Position Competencies:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Electrical/ PLC experience strongly preferred.<br>\n  • Previous experience with a Preventative Maintenance Program.<br>\n  • Demonstrate creativity in generating innovative ideas and creating original concepts; consistently find original solutions to a given problem.<br>\n  • Ability to reach decisions, take a thoughtful approach when considering options, seek input from others and make difficult decisions.<br>\n  • Demonstrate the ability to accomplish work that requires knowledge to install new equipment or to modify an existing installation. Serve as a source of information about anything with regards to electricity.<br>\n  • Provide strong leadership, demonstrating skills in decision making, motivating others, and encouraging others; demonstrate skill in solving problems and resolving conflict.<br>\n  • Ability to step in during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.<br>\n  • Knows the workplace inspection methods and how to recognize a dangerous situation and can provide or recommend appropriate correctives and follow-up on it.<br>\n  • Able to understand the facets, duties and responsibilities of the job; keeps job knowledge current.<br>\n  • Shows mathematical skills, which may include the following applications:<br>\n  o Producing statistics<br>\n  o Data extraction<br>\n  o Indentifying trends<br>\n  o Able to calculate numbers and amounts such as percentages, circumferences and volumes<br>\n  o Able to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts<br>\n  o Understands various Statistical Process Controls (SPS) tools and can use them for analysis<br>\n  • Has proficient knowledge of mechanical processes and be able to perform relevant calculations and analyses to assist in operation, sizing and troubleshooting of processes and process equipment.<br>\n  • Ability to develop strong, trusting relationships with internal/external customers toward achieving Department/Customer goals. Proactively supports an atmosphere of teamwork by collaboratively meeting team goals/objectives while respectfully appreciating other team members’ viewpoints.<br>\n  • Maintains current understanding of technical processes/equipment, uses technology to increase performance/productivity.<br>\n  • Be a self-starter and work independently.<br>\n  • Uses logic and reason in dealing with problems.<br>\n  • Adjusts to changing variables in the workplace.<br>\n  • Engages others in constructive debate to explore alternative actions.<br>\n  • Reaches agreements with others while maintaining perspective regarding longer term relationships.</li>\n <li>• Communicates effectively and concisely in oral and written messages.<br>\n  • Ability to be persistent when accomplishing a task or assignment.<br>\n  • Works harmoniously and with tact and diplomacy in dealing with a broad range of people.<br>\n  • Effectively plans and organizes work to get efficient and effective results.<br>\n  • Accepts the responsibilities and obligations of the job and the consequences of one’s actions.<br>\n  • Analyzes data and prepares reports.<br>\n  • Ability to be flexible and manage many assignments or projects at the same time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>• Promotes health, safety and environmental regulations by ensuring that standards, policies, and procedures are adhered to in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.<br>\n  • Promotes the quality system through adhering to the elements of and being familiar with the philosophy, quality statement, quality manual, and procedures.<br>\n  • Experience in the following is preferred:<br>\n  o Industrial Maintenance<br>\n  o Electrical<br>\n  o PLC<br>\n  o Mechanical<br>\n  o Pneumatics<br>\n  o Hydraulic Equipment<br>\n  • Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including motors and motor controls.<br>\n  • Must be knowledgeable of industrial computerized controls, PLC’s, variable speed drives, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photo-electric sensors, and IEC style contractors and starters.<br>\n  • Actively comply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures with direct reports and contractors. Take appropriate action to eliminate all unsafe acts or conditions.<br>\n  • Adheres to the Polyglass Preventative Maintenance program.<br>\n  • Maximizes equipment reliability by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs. Ensures complete and effective repairs. Proactively initiates work orders based on PM observations, measurements or PdM reports.<br>\n  • Plans and schedules daily activities. Documents work completed including actions taken, conditions observed, root cause, preventative action recommendations and resources utilized including labor hours and parts. Ensures all machine repairs and/or scheduled maintenance are completed and verified and that all appropriate closing codes are used.<br>\n  • Interprets manual and computer generated reports and suggests changes to improve the operability, reliability and safety of assets.<br>\n  • Specifies replacement parts and requisition required repair parts.<br>\n  • Lead, train and coordinate all activities of Industrial Maintenance I &amp; II as directed by Maintenance Supervisor<br>\n  • Manage contractors (design, engineering, labor, construction) and/or lead other engineers and technicians as assigned.<br>\n  • Coordinates operations with production, shipping, and other departments.<br>\n  • Performs other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with Siemens S5 and S7 PLC programming a plus.<br>\n  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or similar field preferred.<br>\n  • Certified Electrician strongly preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><br>\n  • Moderate dust.<br>\n  • Moderate noise.<br>\n  • Working from heights.<br>\n  • Working in confined spaces.<br>\n  • Automated and semi-automated manufacturing equipment.<br>\n  • Hot and cold climates.<br>\n  • Must be able to work around hot asphalt tanks, lines and pumps constantly.<br>\n  Physical Requirements:<br>\n  • Standing 8 – 12 hours a day.<br>\n  • Lifting up to 60 pounds; assisted lifting up to 120 pounds.<br>\n  • Ability to climb stairs often and ladders periodically.<br>\n  • Ability to work shift work.<br>\n  • Visual Acuity (including color perception).<br>\n  • Good Hearing.<br>\n  • All hires will be subject to a pre-employment physical</li>\n</ul>",
