You can have all of this and more at <strong>Five Star Equipment</strong>, Northern PA and New York State&rsquo;s <strong>John Deere construction and forestry equipment dealer.&nbsp;</strong><br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION</strong><br><strong>Five Star Equipment</strong> has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Advisor in our <strong><u>Syracuse, NY</u></strong> branch which is our newest <u>State-of-Art</u> facility.&nbsp;</p><p>Our ideal candidate will have superior customer service skills and experience in building and strengthening relationships with customers. The Parts Advisor is a branch position assisting the branch&rsquo;s General and Service Managers, working as the &ldquo;face of the branch&rdquo; for the Parts &amp; Service Departments. The Parts Advisor will foster brand loyalty by providing accurate and timely technical support and offering equipment service programs to customers. Sales experience a plus, as the Parts Advisor will offer service program upsells as a problem solver when the opportunity exists. Strong phone communication skills are important. &nbsp;</p><p><br><strong>Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:</strong><br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Researches part specifications using computer or internet. Quotes prices and part numbers from inventory.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;If part is not in stock, places orders with manufacturer and notes special circumstances if needed.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Completes accurate and timely sales slips, contracts. Obtains payment credit authorization, etc. as customary.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Follows the standard for conduct within the department, provides positive proactive attitude and cooperates with all company employees, vendors and customers.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Gathers year, make, model or function of equipment to be serviced. Obtains requested parts for customer.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Assists with arranging delivery of larger parts. Restocks new inventory and returned customer items if they are approved for refund.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Provides strong customer service, expedites requests and do so within the scope of the position duties.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;On as requested basis, takes a complete and accurate physical inventory at the Branch.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Actively participates in the company&rsquo;s safety mind frame, is aware of one&rsquo;s surroundings and wears all PPE at all times.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Attends mandated training whether on or off site or online and completes training materials.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Other duties as assigned.<br>&nbsp;</p><p>Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;3 to 5 years&rsquo; experience in heavy equipment service and must have a heavy equipment technical background in-order to communicate with technicians and customers<br>regarding heavy equipment repairs.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Must have a solid foundation of equipment parts and prior experience working as a technician or mechanic.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Understands factors facing customers and their equipment such as time, work conditions, physical demands, etc.<br>&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to use software applications such as the CDK business system, Microsoft Office and Internet functions.<br>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div>\n",
