In this role, under minimal supervision, the Maintenance Mechanic will perform troubleshooting, repair, modification, installation, and preventative maintenance on packaging and process equipment, utilizing standard work practices to ensure production is completed in a safe and efficient manner.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>This role is on the 2nd Shift - 2:00pm &ndash; 10:30pm Monday - Friday.</strong></span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>2nd Shift Differential = $0.75 per hour.</strong></span><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><br><br></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, product safety, company property, environmental and team member&rsquo;s safety.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Complete preventative maintenance on all equipment to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Support continuous improvement efforts by providing equipment and process expertise.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">May be involved with providing technical support to Operations Team for training and staff development (i.e. cross training production personnel for first level-maintenance activities)&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Maintain packaging and process equipment through execution of preventive maintenance programs.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Troubleshoot and repair packaging and process equipment including Fillers, Cappers, Case Erectors, Case Packers, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><strong>WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL</strong></span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\"><br>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.&nbsp;</span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">HS Diploma is <strong>required</strong> but applicable experience will be consisted in lieu of licensing or education.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\" style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">2 (two-year) associate degree, licensing, or equivalent trade school technical training in related field highly preferred,</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">A minimum of three (3) years of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience (manufacturing, automotive, farming, or related) is <em>preferred</em>.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience in the following areas is advantageous and would warrant a higher starting pay rate: Familiarity with packaging equipment such as: Fillers, Cappers, Case Packers, conveyors, tanks, and pumps</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience in food and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing, specifically working to meet GMP, OSHA, FDA, EPA standards is preferred</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience utilizing a CMMS system is <em>preferred</em></li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Experience troubleshooting to identify root-cause issues on mechanical equipment or components.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Willingness to dig into the root-cause of failures and ensure the repair is done through to completion.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability and willingness to troubleshoot high-speed equipment in a safe, efficient manner</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">A pro-active, high-energy attitude, geared towards achieving continuous improvement.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Must be willing and able to work overtime, including off-shift, weekends and holidays when required to support the production schedule.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Proficiency with hand, portable power, and shop tools in the maintenance of manufacturing equipment is required. &bull; Ability to identify and replace components (gearboxes, pumps, cylinders).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Light fabrication and use of common shop tools (Drill press, Grinders, belt sanders).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Mechanical troubleshooting (timing, clearance, sequence of operation).</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability to perform preventative maintenance procedures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability to rebuild pumps, gearboxes, cylinders, and associated manufacturing equipment with minimal guidance.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability to use more complex analytical and measuring tools for vibration analysis, torque requirements and tolerances.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;\">Ability to fabricate small machine parts o Experience with providing feedback and modifications to PMs and SOPs.<span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><br></span></li></ul><p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><em>At BRF, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
