The paramedic works closely with the EMT and other paramedics in providing effective and efficient patient care in accordance with established protocols and by performing the following duties.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Personnel Guided</strong> Assists&nbsp;with the supervision, training and direction of new paramedics, EMT&#39;s, EMS students and other outside agency personnel as directed.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Equipment</strong> All ALS and BLS equipment including: backboards, splints, oxygen equipment, radios, ambulance, and wheelchair vehicles.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong>include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p>\r\n\r\n<p>The Paramedic is fully responsible for all actions as a certified Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic and is accountable for the quality of emergency and non-emergency medical care delivered.&nbsp; In delivering pre-hospital emergency care, the Paramedic performs all techniques of basic and advanced life support, provides specified field treatment for medical emergencies, and transports patients to the appropriate medical facility.&nbsp; This includes ambulance, wheelchair and medical van.</p>\r\n",
