We are a team focused on gold standard customer service and professional growth with competitive benefits and profit-sharing plans and help support a business model that gives back to the community of shareholders.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Under the direction of the Director of Tram Ops & Facilities Manager, is responsible for the supervision of all phases of tramway maintenance activity and the performance of journeyman level electrical and/or mechanical work. </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Necessary Skills and Knowledge:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of the operation of aerial lift or tramway facilities, terminals and related equipment</li>\n <li>Knowledge of common industry practices and considerations</li>\n <li>Knowledge of maintenance and repair requirements; and applicable building, ANSI, OSHA and health codes</li>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair or rebuild systems and components of the facility and related equipment</li>\n <li>Ability to make work assignments, check the completed work, and guide/train a maintenance crew in normal operating and crisis situations</li>\n <li>Ability to function in a stressful environment</li>\n <li>Ability to balance and prioritize operating needs and schedules with available time and skills of maintenance crew to get the job done efficiently and effectively</li>\n <li>Ability to develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program/schedule and employee safety and emergency evacuation training program</li>\n <li>Ability to make decisions on maintaining and repairing equipment, systems, and components</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret tramway and lift blueprints, manuals, and warranty requirements</li>\n <li>Ability to physically rope-evacuate passengers and self from cabin</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li>\n <li>Ability to learn, understand and follow verbal and written instructions and directions. </li>\n <li>Ability to train staff in tram operations, emergency evacuation procedures, and basic customer service skills</li>\n <li>Ability to learn, understand, and follow verbal and manual instructions, learn and function within ANSI codes</li>\n <li>Skill in establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other employees</li>\n <li>Ability to work directly with the public, providing information and assistance on a daily basis</li>\n <li>Ability/willingness to learn and pass on to passengers those areas of interest to visitors, such as local history, people, culture, geography, etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Five (5) years of experience in aerial tramway and /or ski lift operations and maintenance; to include two (2) years’ work with electrical controls, hydraulics and wire-rope AND</li>\n <li>One (1) year Lead/supervisory experience, including scheduling and training subordinates in any environment</li>\n <li>Current CPR/AED and first aid certificates</li>\n <li>Current Rope access and/or Fall Protection certificate</li>\n <li>Experience working with state and local operational codes, ANSI B-77 code and manufacturer’s specifications</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ten (10) years of experience in aerial tramway and/or ski lifts, gondola operations to include four (4) years’ work with electrical controls, hydraulics and wire rope</li>\n <li>Five (5) years lead/supervisory maintenance experience, including scheduling and training subordinates in any environment</li>\n <li>Current CPR/AED and first aid certificates</li>\n <li>Current Rope access and or Fall Protection certificate</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<strong>Pay and Benefits</strong>Hourly Compensation for this position is in between $30-$40 an hour DOE. As an employee, you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company matching, tax-deferred savings options, supplementary benefits, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>After considering internal and external factors on a daily basis, determines whether to proceed with the tramway operation; is constantly monitoring factors affecting the safe and efficient operation of the tramway cars and the control center</li>\n <li>Responsible for ensuring that the lift is operational for public transport during scheduled hours, and that all required maintenance and work is performed by staff and/or contractors in accordance with state and local operational codes, ANSI B-77 code and manufacturer’s specifications</li>\n <li>Ensures that maintenance personnel are available at all times during operation to the public of the tramway</li>\n <li>Supervises the maintenance and repair work performed on the lift by subordinates and contractors, after troubleshooting and determining exactly what corrective work, methods, resources and budget are needed</li>\n <li>Makes staff assignments; schedules staff work, takes into consideration ongoing operational needs, availability of staff, equipment, parts, etc.; checks quality of work performed, guides (and sometimes trains) work crew to project completion</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance program and schedule for all tramway structures and systems; expedites all materials needed to do preventative maintenance or repairs</li>\n <li>Manages and records the training of staff in standby operations, generator operations and rescue car lift evacuations; participates in emergency lift evacuation upon notification by the General Manager or Director of Tram Ops & Facilities Manager</li>\n <li>Ensures that safety measures and equipment (i.e. harnesses, helmet, etc.) are taken/used at all times, especially when staff climb towers or ride on top of tram cars</li>\n <li>Performs journey level electrical and/or mechanical work which includes troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing or rebuilding mechanical components or electrical systems; uses and supervises the use of tools per manufacturers’ instructions and specifications</li>\n <li>Is authorized to close the tramway operations due to adverse weather or operational conditions. </li>\n <li>Is authorized to deny tramway access to any person who is considered not fit, competent or dangerous to himself, others or to equipment</li>\n <li>Assumes responsibilities of Director of Tram Ops & Facilities Manager during his/her absences</li>\n <li>Ensures that subordinates are trained (including in emergency rope evacuation), equipped and fit to perform their duties. Constantly emphasizes the importance of customer service; monitors staff’s provision of the same, correcting weaknesses or problems.  Must ensure that all timecards or pay sheets are reviewed, signed, and submitted in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Periodically reviews the operator’s manual with each new and returning employee; records all training per the ANSI code. During operating hours, ensures the availability of at least one trained employee onsite to administer first aid</li>\n <li>Expected to become familiar with all tram systems and normal operations</li>\n <li>Performs basic trouble shooting of tram systems and records faults and bypasses per ANSI code</li>\n <li>When necessary due to personnel understaffing, unexpected absences, or emergencies, may perform the duties of a Tram Operator or Tram Attendant; on call during the regular tram operating season and will assist the General Manager when needed</li>\n <li>Enforces operational and safety rules; keeps General Manager informed at all times regarding a condition or occurrence that may adversely affect the safety of the operation; monitors that all signs in the ramp area, safety equipment and rope evacuation equipment are in place</li>\n <li>Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned</li>\n</ul>",
