Be part of the biggest little airline where every passenger, every day, and every flight matters &ndash; and so do you!</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION: &nbsp;AIRCRAFT FUELER</strong><br><strong>FLSA STAUS: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; NON-EXEMPT</strong><br><strong>REPORT TO: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;FUELER SUPERVISOR</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Southern Airways/ Mokulele is seeking dependable, professional individuals to fuel the aircrafts at our airport stations. Candidates who know airport regulations and love to provide excellent customer service will enjoy working in this position. Night availability needed.</p><p><strong>General duties include but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Fuel and de-fuel aircraft in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li>Ensure correct loading and balancing of fuel. Follow safe loading/unloading procedures to correctly load the tanker truck.</li><li>Verify truck is full for the subsequent shift. Properly and completely detail pass-down logs to subsequent shift.</li><li>Accurately account for all fuel transactions. Complete daily fuel reporting forms/sheets and verify daily transactions are balanced and complete.</li><li>Maintain equipment in a clean and functional condition; notify appropriate supervisors/maintenance of equipment repair needs and/or work with local mechanics to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.</li><li>Complete daily truck inspection sheet and ensure all fluids are topped-off, all lights are properly functioning, and truck is ready for legal operation. Ensure any necessary items needed for operation are promptly addressed.</li><li>Ensure wing mats, ladders, and ancillary equipment are in good working order and are properly used when fueling.</li><li>Communicate and confirm on a regular basis with dispatch to ensure that the correct product is delivered on time.</li><li>When instructed by supervisor, assist with wheelchair ramp movements and passenger wheelchair pushes.</li><li>When instructed by supervisor, between fueling, assist with marshalling aircraft, installing wheel chocks and tail stand, and loading and unloading bags.</li><li>Ensure FAA, Airline, and airport regulations are followed.</li><li>Enforce safety/security measures and protect sensitive zones.</li><li>Ensuring excellent customer service is extended to all, including co-workers and external individuals.</li><li>Capably respond to and accommodate changing operating conditions.</li><li>Maintain accurate records as required.</li><li>Maintain a constant awareness of airport conditions and communicate them with the corporate offices. Maintain working knowledge of airport ramp operations.</li><li>Adhere to Southern dress code.</li><li>Complete required courses under NATA Safety First Program within two weeks of start date. Failure to complete the course(s) is grounds for removal from schedule and pay until completed and/or termination.</li><li>Maintain licensing and certifications.</li><li>Any other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements for the position:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation</li><li>Computer skills &ndash; proficient with a PC</li><li>Basic math abilities</li><li>Strong communication skills required, both verbal and written</li><li>Great customer service attitude and a willingness to &ldquo;find a way&rdquo; as opposed to &ldquo;I can&rsquo;t,&rdquo; where applicable, to both co-workers and external contacts.</li><li>Three (3) to six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and/or training</li><li>Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays</li><li>Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen per airline regulations</li><li>At least 18 years of age</li><li>Must maintain an airport badge at the HNL and OGG airport to attend training and cover shifts as needed</li><li>Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986</li></ul><p><strong>Physical requirements:</strong></p><p>&bull; Must be able to lift up to 70-pounds.</p><p>&bull; Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.</p><p>&bull; Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform duties.</p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Benefits:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Competitive Salary: Attractive compensation package based on experience.&nbsp;</p><p>Health &amp; Wellness: After 30 days of employment on the 1st of the next month, you are eligible to sign up for medical, dental, and vision insurance, air ambulance coverage, short-term disability, pet insurance, health savings accounts, and company-paid life insurance.&nbsp;</p><p>Retirement Plans: Employees can enroll in our company&rsquo;s 401(k) plan.&nbsp;</p><p>Generous PTO: After completion of your probationary period, employees earn 1 day of PTO per month, plus paid holidays throughout the calendar year.&nbsp;</p><p>Employee Discounts: After completion of your probationary period, you can access the My ID Travel program, which allows members of your immediate family to participate as well.
