Provides construction planning, coordination and direction on a miscellaneous higher education projects. Responsible for construction management activities on a community college campus. Maintains budget and conducts work product with a high degree of quality, making sure to fulfill the requirements of the contract. This position will include being on the construction site on a daily basis. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides construction project management support for the client to coordinate, direct and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, state and local agencies and other related project entities.</li>\n <li>Ability to standalone on a construction project and direct the project team.</li>\n <li>Possesses design-phase, RFQ/P, bidding and construction management experience.</li>\n <li>Oversees project and program scheduling, estimating, and execution plan support.</li>\n <li>Has functional knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to construction/project requirements.</li>\n <li>Ability to review and negotiate change orders.</li>\n <li>Oversees quality control and quality assurance throughout design and construction phases. </li>\n <li>Has experience with database project controls software systems.</li>\n <li>Ensures compliance with contract requirements of contractor, architect, engineer and other team members as applicable</li>\n <li>Provides project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures support and administration along with regular project reporting.</li>\n <li>Oversees management of project logistics, organization, and manpower utilization.</li>\n <li>Evaluates and understands fundamental construction means and methods. </li>\n <li>Responsible to communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding program, design scope, budget, schedule, and construction impact.</li>\n <li>Responsible for execution plan including schedule development and management.</li>\n <li>Ensures project management plan and procedures manuals are developed in accordance with contract requirements.</li>\n <li>Assumes the lead in project meetings, and supervises work of others to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on action items of all participants.</li>\n <li>Oversee monthly contractor payment application reviews.</li>\n <li>Prepares accident/incident reports and performs follow-up investigations.</li>\n <li>Ensures project closeout and documentation meets all contractual requirements for final project delivery to owner entities.</li>\n <li>Consistently follows the organization's safety policy, promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>4 year degree required.
