For more information, click here.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Additional benefits may be available for employees considered Travelers within our Mission Critical Group, including relocation support, monthly housing stipends, and monthly travel allowances.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and expand Suffolk Construction’s Mission Critical business</li>\n <li>Work with Operations leadership team to set the business direction and strategy for the Mission Critical sector</li>\n <li>Oversee execution of the sector goals as outlined in the group’s business plan; develop Mission Critical portions of business plan for roll up into consolidated office business plan</li>\n <li>Develop sector expertise, share market knowledge with leadership and sector</li>\n <li>Ensure corporate vision and strategies are communicated to Project Executives by their teams </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Acquisition and Client Management:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead work acquisition team in pursuits</li>\n <li>Identify and cultivate new client relationships; develop relationship with, and have the pulse of, existing clients</li>\n <li>Identify priority pursuits and projects</li>\n <li>Lead and participate in teaming strategies</li>\n <li>Direct the strategy and content of group proposals and/or presentations</li>\n <li>Recommend general conditions and fees to the General Manager</li>\n <li>Ensure client satisfaction through formal (Suffolk CONNECT) and informal (client interaction, community events, etc.) channels</li>\n <li>Assist in strategic subcontractor management</li>\n <li>Actively participate in industry events and associations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Sector P&L Management:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Review and analyze weekly financial reports on projects; provide guidance and direction to Project Executives</li>\n <li>Ensure appropriate financial projections for each project and implement strategies to achieve goals</li>\n <li>NOI forecasting and maintenance projections</li>\n <li>Revenue and income commitments</li>\n <li>Commercial sector G&A planning and management</li>\n <li>Risk management</li>\n <li>Cash flow</li>\n <li>Contracts to prescribed limits</li>\n <li>Coordination of legal matters</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Development of People:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Seek out and recruit key staff</li>\n <li>Evaluate team performance and provide direction</li>\n <li>Build future leaders through mentoring</li>\n <li>Support training and curriculum development and planning</li>\n <li>Create sector organizational structure and staffing</li>\n <li>Career pathing</li>\n <li>Development</li>\n <li>Retention</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preconstruction:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Oversee preconstruction efforts on all sector projects</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Construction Operations:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure sector projects are set up for success, consistent with the P&L and sector targets as outlined in the group’s business plan</li>\n <li>Ensure all construction activities are consistent with Suffolk’s Standard Operating Procedures</li>\n <li>Conduct weekly meetings with Project Executives and entire team to review job performance in its entirety</li>\n <li>Review schedule updates and participate in monthly meeting</li>\n <li>Review monthly KPIs, evaluate trends and drive improvement</li>\n <li>Ensure performance corrections are implemented to achieve client satisfaction</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Construction Management or relevant discipline with minimum of ten years of experience in the Mission Critical field or a related area.</li>\n <li>Extensive knowledge of Mission Critical construction markets and business sectors is essential.</li>\n <li>A thorough familiarity with construction concepts, definitions, practices and procedures is fundamental. A practical knowledge of planning, permitting, and zoning regulations is required.        </li>\n <li>Highly organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.</li>\n <li>Entrepreneurial and collaborative.</li>\n <li>Ability to travel 50%.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#LI-CP1</p>\n<h2>Working Conditions</h2>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will spend their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level.
