Description

Currently accepting applications for 2nd and 3rd shifts SUMMARY Perform multiple processes to produce weather-strip for the Automotive Industry by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following as assigned. Other duties may also be assigned. Regular attendance and adherence to the “NISCO Attendance Policy” including the ability and availability to work a minimum of eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours a week, or such other hours per day or hours per week (over-time) as determined necessary or desired to meet business needs. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and NISCO policies and rules. Follow “work instructions” and perform operation as identified. Performs one or more of the following operations continually or on a rotating basis Multiple Press Operation Operate multiple presses simultaneously and sequentially. Insert correct profile into the mold adding inserts and/or clips as required by the specific product work instruction. Remold parts as necessary. Ensures part adheres to quality standards. Load finished parts on overhead rack system. Complete production paperwork. Clean molds as necessary. Processing Process finished parts on rack system by using visual inspection, White Board/jig, and/or Smart Processing Stand and trimming flash, insert clips, glue slits, notches or tears, apply EPT, using buttoner insert buttons, apply butyl tape, pads and, inspect quality as identified by the specific product work instruction. Load appropriate number of processed parts on rack system. Complete production paperwork. Packing Packing inspects the processed parts using visual inspection and pack according to the specific product work instruction. Operate label machine and label packed parts in accordance with the specific product work instruction. Complete production paperwork. Drill and Size/Clip Machines (performs all of the following operations simultaneously) Operate multiple fastener inserting machines and continuous drilling machines. Loads and winds profile or materials and threads feed to machines. Loads appropriate clips into feed bowls. Inspects, checks length, check placement of clips may hand insert clips, apply butyl tape or EPT. Manual Application of Coating (performed as required in the specific product work instruction) Apply coating as identified in the specific product work instruction with brush applicator or hand spray gun. Hangs parts on rack. Notching (performed as required in the specific product work instruction) Load materials as identified in the specific product work instruction. Operate notching machine. Inspect parts using visual inspection and send to the next process. Desprag / Pull Core Metal (performed as required in the specific product work instruction) Thread appropriate material through spool into the cutter machine. After cut, desprag/pull core metal from end using manual tools as required. 100% check length/measure and inspect parts using visual inspection, White Board/jig, and/or Smart Processing Stand and pack according to the specific product work instruction. Operate label machine and label packed parts in accordance with the specific product work instruction. Complete production paperwork. Containment Re-inspect parts using a White Board/jig for strict adherence to the quality standard. Separate suspect or bad quality parts. Pack processed parts according to the specific product work instruction. Operate label machine and label packed parts in accordance with the specific product work instruction. Complete production paperwork. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must meet qualification as identified through the NISCO Hiring System including EZ App, Select Trac, SAM, BMAR LANGUAGE SKILLS Must read and write in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide using a calculator. REASONING ABILITY The analytical reasoning ability to understand structured sets of relationships and deduce new information from sets of relationships. Uses logical reasoning to analyze and evaluate arguments, identifying central issues and hypotheses, drawing sound inferences and identifying plausible causal explanations. A composite of attitudes, knowledge and skills. This composite includes: (1) attitudes of inquiry that involve an ability to recognize the existence of problems and an acceptance of general need for evidence in support of what is asserted to be true; (2) knowledge of the nature of valid inferences, abstractions, and generalizations in which the weight or accuracy of different kinds of evidence are logically determined; and (3) skills in employing and applying the above attitudes and knowledge. Ability to apply logic to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to effectively understand problems involving several abstract and concrete variables leading to a sound conclusion in standardized situations. RELATIONS WITH OTHERS Must possess interpersonal skills/behaviors. Must be able to deal individuals with a range of moods and behaviors in a tactful, congenial, respectful, personal manner so as not to alienate, antagonize, threaten, and intimidate others. Must be able to talk or listen to people to convey or exchange information; includes giving/receiving assignments and/or directions. 2nd shift: 2:00PM - 10:20PM 3rd Shift: 10:00PM-6:20AM OT and Weekends as needed to support customer needs
