    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Procurement Specialist </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are seeking a versatile and highly organized Procurement Specialist to support procurement for a Project based position from our Head Office Location in Haileybury, ON.</p>\n<p>This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials, tools, equipment, and rentals flow efficiently to support construction activities.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Key Responsibilities</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Procurement &amp; Purchasing</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Source, evaluate, &amp; purchase required equipment &amp; materials with an emphasis on maximizing efficiencies &amp; minimizing costs.</li>\n<li>Qualify suppliers, issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, negotiate contracts while executing risk management strategies,</li>\n<li>Manages the acquisition of goods, services, or materials needed for business operations, focusing on cost-efficiency, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiation.</li>\n<li>Identify suppliers, conduct market research, process purchase orders, and monitor compliance with company policies.</li>\n<li>Ensure high-quality, cost-effective purchasing.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience as a Buyer or similar role.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of purchasing processes and equipment rental operations.</li>\n<li>Previous experience in mining, industrial, or heavy construction environments preferred.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic spreadsheet/databases for tracking.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and people interaction skills.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license (for local supplier pickups).</li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced site environment.</li>\n<li>Commitment to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and working within a busy industrial setting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rotation:</span> 14 Days In / 7 Days Out or 5 Days In/ 2 Days Out <br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shifts:</span> 10.5 Hours Shifts (10 hours paid with 30 min unpaid meal break)<br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location:</span> Haileybury, ON <br>Flights, Meal Allowance &amp; Accommodations - may apply pending candidates’ main residence.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">HOW TO APPLY:</span></p>\n<p>Submit resumes to <a href=\"https://www.wbmelback.bamboohr.com/careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.wbmelback.bamboohr.com/careers</a> </p>\n<p>Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We're an equal opportunity employer.
