This position requires advanced knowledge in diesel mechanics paired with modern diagnostic expertise, specifically with Cummins and Paccar engine platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of electronic diagnostic software, data analysis, and fault resolution to ensure our fleet is operating at peak performance.</p><p><br></p><p>Working under the direction of the Shop Manager, the selected candidate will serve as the go-to technician for engine diagnostics, root cause analysis, and smart repair strategies, supporting operations at either our Long Beach or Santa Fe Springs locations.</p><p><br></p><p><em><strong>Responsibilities</strong></em></p><ul><li>Diagnose and repair engine issues using OEM diagnostic platforms (Cummins Insite, Paccar DAVIE4, etc.)</li><li>Conduct electrical, emission system, and sensor diagnostics across a variety of heavy-duty diesel trucks</li><li>Interpret fault codes and performance data, update ECU software, and calibrate sensors as needed</li><li>Perform advanced preventative maintenance and major component overhauls when necessary</li><li>Troubleshoot aftertreatment systems, DEF issues, DPF regens, and other emissions-related concerns</li><li>Document all repair activities in fleet maintenance software systems with accuracy and clarity</li><li>Assist in training junior mechanics on electronic diagnostics and standard repair techniques</li><li>Provide input on fleet condition and recommend strategies to reduce downtime and improve efficiency</li><li>Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of assigned workspaces in accordance with OSHA and company standards</li></ul><p><br></p>",
