Description
Job Title: Teacher
Reports To: Principal / Director of Education
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
The Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that meet academic standards and address the diverse needs of all students. The Teacher fosters a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and lifelong learning skills.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles, abilities, and backgrounds.
Assess student progress using formal and informal assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation in accordance with school policies.
Establish and maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, needs, and achievements.
Integrate technology and other resources to enhance student engagement and learning.
Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to promote student success.
Uphold all school policies, state regulations, and professional ethical standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
Valid state teaching license or certification in relevant subject/grade level.
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching in [specific grade/subject].
Training in differentiated instruction and evidence-based teaching strategies.
Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.
Working Conditions
