          "text": "<p><strong>Internal Job Title:</strong> Operating Engineer</p><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Permanent, Full-Time</p><p><strong>Work Model:</strong> On-site</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>145 Richmond Road/975 Gladstone Ave., Ottawa ON</p><p><strong>Work Hours:</strong> 6.30 am to 2.30 pm – M-F (every second Friday off) – subject to change</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Wage:</strong> $40/hr</p><p>&#xa0;</p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p>As an Operating Engineer in our Plant Operations group, you will be responsible for the ongoing operation, maintenance, and optimization of essential CBN facility equipment.</p><p>Canadian Bank Note is deemed to be part of Canada’s infrastructure, and it is essential that our facilities remain in a state of operational readiness to ensure we are able to deliver our suite of products (bank notes, passports, DL/ID’s, etc.) to federal and provincial/territorial governments.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Operate and Monitor Equipment</strong><ul><li><strong>Facility Equipment:</strong> Boilers, chillers, air compressors, vacuum pumps, humidifiers, packaged HVAC units, pumps etc.,</li><li><strong>Control Systems:</strong> Operate automated or computerized control systems for boilers, generators, and other equipment.</li><li><strong>Monitoring:</strong> Regularly check gauges, meters, chemistry levels, and alarms to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.</li><li><strong>Adjustments:</strong> Make necessary adjustments to maintain optimal performance and safety.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Maintenance and Repairs</strong><ul><li><strong>Routine Inspections:</strong> Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they become serious problems.</li><li><strong>Preventive Maintenance:</strong> Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, alignment and replacing worn parts.</li><li><strong>Repairs:</strong> Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, including replacing faulty components and adjusting systems. Engaging with support contractors as required.</li><li><strong>Technical Document Review: </strong>Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, P&amp;ID etc.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Data Tracking and Reporting</strong><ul><li><strong>Record Keeping:</strong> Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety checks.</li><li><strong>Data Analysis:</strong> Analyze data from equipment to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.</li><li><strong>Reporting:</strong> Report on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and compliance with safety regulations, and areas for improvement</li></ul></li><li><strong>Safety and Compliance</strong><ul><li><strong>Safety Protocols:</strong> Follow strict safety protocols to ensure the safe operation of all equipment.</li><li><strong>Regulatory Compliance:</strong> Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.</li><li><strong>Emergency Response:</strong> Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures or safety incidents, quickly and effectively.</li></ul></li></ul>",
