    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>CVP is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead / Cloud Architect to provide technical leadership for hybrid cloud integration, infrastructure management, and engineering support services for the DHS. This position is responsible for designing, operating, and evolving a secure, FedRAMP-compliant hybrid cloud environment spanning AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, and Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High, while ensuring alignment with DHS Enterprise Architecture standards, FISMA requirements, and applicable NIST cybersecurity guidelines.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead systems engineering activities including architecture design, integration, and ongoing management of hybrid cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, Microsoft 365 GCC/GCC High).</li>\n <li>Ensure all architectures meet FedRAMP authorization requirements and DHS Enterprise Architecture standards.</li>\n <li>Design and implement cloud-based backup, disaster recovery (DR), and continuity of operations (COOP) solutions, including red-green deployments, automated failover, and cross-region replication.</li>\n <li>Lead and mentor a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers supporting DHS.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and configuration management plans.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the IT O&M Lead to ensure seamless DevSecOps-to-operations handoffs and pipeline integrity.</li>\n <li>Support AI and automation integration within secure cloud enclaves in alignment with DHS security policies.</li>\n <li>Interface with DHS security stakeholders for Authorization to Operate (ATO) processes, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.</li>\n <li>Establish and track infrastructure KPIs and operational metrics aligned to program SLAs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related STEM field. Master's degree preferred.</li>\n <li>Minimum 8 years of systems engineering and cloud architecture experience, with at least 4 years in a federal government environment.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience designing and managing FedRAMP-authorized hybrid cloud environments.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA, and federal cybersecurity frameworks.</li>\n <li>Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and CI/CD pipeline management.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience with zero-downtime deployment strategies (blue-green, canary, rolling releases).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Security Clearance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be eligible to obtain a DHS Public Trust (US Citizenship Required)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Certifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) OR Microsoft Azure Administrator / Solutions Architect — Highly Preferred</li>\n <li>CISSP or CompTIA Security+ CE </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prior DHS, USCIS, or DHS technical delivery experience.</li>\n <li>Experience integrating AI/ML workloads into secure federal cloud environments.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with Impact Level 4 (IL-4) / IL-5 cloud environments and air-gapped deployment scenarios.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Microsoft 365 GCC High environments and related security configurations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Please note this role is pending program award. </em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About CVP</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>CVP is an award-winning healthcare and next-gen technology and consulting services firm solving critical problems for healthcare, national security, and public sector clients.
