LLSI works closely with communities, schools, government partners, and development agencies to deliver impactful programs in climate change adaptation, health, education, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), gender equality, and community resilience.</p>\n<p>As part of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">UNICEF‑supported Climate‑Smart Health, Education, Nutrition &amp; WASH Services Project</span>, Live &amp; Learn Solomon Islands is seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">reliable and experienced Driver</span> to support project implementation through safe, efficient, and professional transport and logistical support.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">YOU ARE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>You hold a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">valid driver’s licence</span> appropriate for the type of vehicle required</li>\n<li>You have <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">previous experience as a driver</span>, preferably with an NGO, development project, or government organisation</li>\n<li>You have a strong understanding of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">road safety and traffic regulations</span> in Solomon Islands</li>\n<li>You are reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours when required</li>\n<li>You demonstrate honesty, professionalism, and respect for organisational policies</li>\n<li>You are able to work well with project staff, partners, and community members</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY WOULD MEAN TO YOU:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be part of a project that supports <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">climate‑smart health, education, nutrition, and WASH services</span></li>\n<li>Contribute directly to the smooth delivery of field activities in communities</li>\n<li>Work with a respected organisation and international partners such as UNICEF</li>\n<li>Be part of a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">supportive, team‑oriented working environment</span></li>\n<li>Gain experience working within <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">NGO fleet and safety management systems</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A DAILY BASIS:</span></p>\n<p>In this role, you will provide critical logistical and transport support to ensure the effective and timely implementation of project activities.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Accountabilities include:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Logistical &amp; Project Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation support for project staff and activities</li>\n<li>Assist the Project Manager with transportation arrangements, accommodation logistics, communications, and travel needs for staff</li>\n<li>Support the buying, collecting, and transporting of project materials and equipment to communities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vehicle Management &amp; Safety</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure cleanliness, safety, and security of the vehicle at all times</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">driver’s logbooks</span>, documenting all vehicle movements</li>\n<li>Monitor vehicle mileage and ensure routine servicing is conducted on time</li>\n<li>Track insurance expiry dates and support timely renewal of vehicle insurance</li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with government traffic laws for yourself and all passengers</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Policies, Compliance &amp; Conduct</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strictly comply with Live &amp; Learn’s <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Good Practice Manual</span> and <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Fleet Management Policy</span></li>\n<li>Uphold child safeguarding, fraud control, and organisational code of conduct requirements</li>\n<li>Carry out any other duties as directed by the Project Manager, immediate supervisor, Finance Manager, or Country Manager</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">WHAT WE OFFER:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Competitive remuneration package</span> aligned with local NGO standards</li>\n<li>Opportunity to work on a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">high‑impact UNICEF‑supported project</span></li>\n<li>Supportive team environment with clear systems and procedures</li>\n<li>Meaningful contribution to community development and resilience in Solomon Islands</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24pt\">HOW TO APPLY:</span></p>\n<p>Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further assessment.
