All work performed under the supervision of a Master plumber. Assists in the maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating systems following recognized codes and techniques of the plumbing trade. Assists in installs, maintains, and repairs water piping systems, all plumbing fixtures and appurtenances following recognized procedures and techniques of the trade of plumber. This position requires on-call rotation responsibilities for evening and weekend work as well as scheduled and unscheduled work for hours other than normal business hours. Essential Functions: Assists in the maintenance and repair of plumbing and heating systems following recognized codes and techniques of the plumbing trade. Assists in installs, maintains, and repairs water piping systems, all plumbing fixtures and appurtenances following recognized procedures and techniques of the trade of plumber. Provide functional/operational support to campus as essential personnel during times of emergency, catastrophe, inclement weather, etc Perform repairs on on all plumbing fixtures Perform other duties as assigned. Candidate must have ability to manage CMMS and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word an Excel applications. Candidate must also be customer service oriented and possess time management and organizational and planning skills. Attention to detail is a must. Shift flex is required for evenings and weekends. Schedules may be adjusted to accommodate coverage for 1st & 2nd shifts during weekdays and/or weekends for temporary or permanent shift changes. Required to respond to emergency calls. Physical and Environmental Demands: Must be able to individually lift up to 50 pounds and to lift and transport piping and equipment with others in excess of 200 pounds. Must be able to push and pull heavy loads. Must be able to stoop and bend for long periods of time and work in confined spaces. Able to work from ladder and lifts and in hot, confined locations.
