    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>This is for the 2025/2026 Ski Season. The anticipated start date is around the first week of December. Interviews will begin mid-late summer.</strong></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Basic Function and Overview:&nbsp;</u></strong>&nbsp; The Lift Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mountain lifts and the guests who use them. Lift Attendants spend their days helping guests, of all skill levels, load and unload from lifts, in an outdoor mountain environment.</p><p><strong><u>Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; <em>Duties include, but are not limited to:&nbsp;</em></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform daily pre-operation checks of the lift to ensure safe operation and sign documents certifying that these inspections are completed.</li><li>Assist with shoveling and raking snow and chopping ice on a regular basis to maintain proper ramps, corrals, and work areas.</li><li>Operate the chairlift in a safe and responsible way, complying with all safety protocols and procedures.</li><li>Load guests onto the chair in a safe and responsible manner.</li><li>Maintain load and unload ramps and areas around all lift stations to ensure clean and safe work/ski environments.</li><li>Identify and report any unusual problems or hazardous conditions to a supervisor to ensure the public&rsquo;s safety.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of all policies, procedures, and rules regarding operating and riding a ski lift.</li><li>Be aware of all safety components, policies, and procedures for the lift and be able to execute them correctly during daily shifts and in case of an emergency.</li><li>Evacuate guests from chairlifts as needed.</li><li>Must become familiar with the ski area lifts and trails.</li><li>Use all departmentally required PPE.</li><li>Advise guests as needed in a courteous, respectful manner.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Skills and Abilities:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Strong work ethic and dependability.</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication skills.</li><li>Must always remain alert and attentive.</li><li>Attention to detail and quick reaction times are necessary.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Preferred Skills and Abilities</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>The ability to ski or snowboard at an intermediate level is preferred.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Required Education and Experience:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Must be 18 years or older. &nbsp;</li><li>Previous experience operating a ski lift is preferred but not necessary.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Withstand constant exposure to extreme weather elements including but not limited to below-freezing temperatures, wind, snow, rain, and sleet.</li><li>Stand and walk on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces.</li><li>Lift up to 50 pounds and bump/stall chairs up to 400 pounds traveling up to 450 feet per minute.</li><li>Shovel large volumes of snow and/or ice is required.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><em>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily- reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
