Under the direction of the engineering manager, the electrical engineer will work with the engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency. &nbsp;The electrical engineer is also responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design and installation of electrical equipment, facilities, components, and systems for industrial purposes.</li><li>Troubleshoot electrical and control issues in support of manufacturing reliability.</li><li>Perform and assist technicians in the fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment.</li><li>Identify investments for the continued improvement of manufacturing and facility equipment/processes.</li><li>Coordinate and manage work conducted by outside contractors on building, process, and equipment electrical/control systems.</li><li>Develop applications of controls, instruments, and systems for industrial uses</li><li>Perform, direct, and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems.</li><li>Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to complete engineering tasks.</li><li>Work closely with mechanical engineering, technicians, and production staff. &nbsp; May conduct training with associates.&nbsp;</li><li>Research and implement advanced technology in tooling, automation, and mechanization to reduce the cost of manufacturing</li></ul><p><strong>Qualification</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical engineering (or a related field) plus a minimum of 3 years&rsquo; experience in a manufacturing environment, or a related associate&rsquo;s degree and 5+ years&rsquo; experience in a manufacturing environment&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to develop designs and create engineering drawings using CAD software.</li><li>Experience using lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools to solve problems.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC preferred.</li><li>Experience in Web Converting, Paper/Pulp Converting, or similar high-speed, rotating equipment environment preferred.</li><li>Experience in a multi-shift manufacturing facility preferred.</li><li>Must be capable of working flexible hours to accommodate 24/7 manufacturing operations, including weekends, and on-call requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;Supervisory Responsibilities</strong></p><p>&nbsp;This role has no supervisory responsibilities.</p><p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p><ul><li>Stand regularly for 8 hours on each shift.</li><li>Required to grasp, walk, bend, reach, squat, twist, and rotate the body.&nbsp;</li><li>Occasional pushing/pulling/lifting at least 45 lbs. individually and at least 50 lbs. with a team member assist. &nbsp;</li><li>Occasional kneeling, climbing, and crawling throughout the shift.&nbsp;</li><li>May have to reach in odd positions and/or lie down.&nbsp;</li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to wear respiratory protection as needed in close proximity to solvents &nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<em style='--tw-shadow: 0 0 #0000;
