CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Engineer I to join our Water Team in Indianapolis, IN . In this role, you’ll support the planning and design of critical water, wastewater, and stormwater systems—gaining hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers and project teams. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical foundation, explore diverse infrastructure projects, and make a meaningful contribution from the start of your career.
What You'll Do:
Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for water/wastewater system rehabilitation projects
Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for water/wastewater system optimization
Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of water/wastewater systems
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:
$73,000 - $77,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
