    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Senior Technical Modeler is a top-level senior drafter/technician (non-supervisory level), and is responsible for preparation of construction documents for BIM drawings and details on a variety of projects that range vastly in scale, detail, and complexity. A Senior Technical Modeler should be able to rapidly develop structural building information models (BIMs), annotate plans and details, create three- dimensional renderings, rationalize geometry for appropriate structural schemes, and assist with creating structural narratives. Works closely with design originator, project managers and team of engineers and modelers; may recommend minor design changes requiring sound judgment and discretion. May guide or be assisted by lower-level technicians Performs non-routine and complex assignments from verbal instructions and under minimal supervision.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinates all BIM activities with project manager, designers, and engineers</li>\n <li>Interacts with clients and team members regarding project models</li>\n <li>Uses latest tools/digital workflows to efficiently create and maintain BIM information and to interoperate with analysis, documentation, fabrication, and construction models</li>\n <li>Assists in the development of structural detailing in documentation models</li>\n <li>Works with Project Manager to establish deadlines to stop internal work prior to plotting deadline to ensure time is left to check quality and accuracy of deliverables</li>\n <li>Assists in preparing and annotating structural details</li>\n <li>Uses tools in support of project-specific digital implementation</li>\n <li>Periodically checks model content for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to graphic and modeling standards</li>\n <li>Properly organizes structural and reference models</li>\n <li>Archives various deliverables, models, and databases at key milestones</li>\n <li>Updates and maintains related project documentation (OneNote, BIM execution plans, sheet lists, etc.)</li>\n <li>Knows the various types of structural elements and materials used in the BIMs and deliverables</li>\n <li>Works towards understanding key structural systems, their components, and typical layout/geometry/dimensions associated with them</li>\n <li>Works with senior engineers to learn detailing conventions for commonly encountered conditions (cladding support, etc.) and project-specific details (parking ramps, arena vomitories/seating units, medical equipment support)</li>\n <li>Supports company-wide efforts to build effective relationships with employees, clients, industry partners, community stakeholders, and vendors in a way that reflects and supports company core values and meets or exceeds expectations</li>\n <li>Acts as a culture ambassador, modeling professional behavior and supporting employee development and training initiatives</li>\n <li>Consistently strives to achieve positive results, in a timely and efficient manner</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associate’s degree or certificate in Drafting Design preferred</li>\n <li>7 minimum years of progressive drafting experience </li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication</li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge and experience in Revit, Tekla, and AutoCAD, with Rhino preferred</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills</li>\n <li>Ability to mentor others, build partnerships, and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.</li>\n <li>Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Strong client-service attitude with ability to multi-task</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hybrid Firm Position:</strong></p>\n<p>As a Hybrid Firm, Walter P Moore combines the best of both worlds – blending work options to include in-office and home office environments. The actual offered salary will be dependent on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience and internal equity.
