    "description": "<h2>More information about this job</h2>\n<p><strong>Overview</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Drill Shaft Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of Drill Shaft workers to ensure that work is done safely, correctly, and timely. Directs and leads crew in the drilled shaft operations. Manages all aspects of crew’s work including planning, safety, production and monitoring performance.  Maintains appropriate level of skill and knowledge of equipment/vehicle operation. Must learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work and learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment. Will be required to work in a plant operations or construction jobsite setting.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>*The following are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for this position.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Inspect the quality of all work to ensure standards and specifications are met</li>\n <li>Assist workers in their duties and resolve problems </li>\n <li>Interpret and enforce company policies and safety regulations</li>\n <li>Assist in the training and coaching of craft personnel</li>\n <li>Complete necessary logs and records as required by Cajun policy  </li>\n <li>Report equipment, employee, and/or client issues to management  </li>\n <li>Ensure proper utilization, storage, security and maintenance of equipment, tools and manuals</li>\n <li>Monitor drill controls and the progress of the drilling operation</li>\n <li>Assist other craft workers as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs., but may occasionally push/pull, lift, or carry up to 100 lbs.</li>\n <li>Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legs</li>\n <li>Hand/eye coordination</li>\n <li>Must be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform work</li>\n <li>Will need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work</li>\n <li>May operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all types</li>\n <li>Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds</li>\n <li>Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis</li>\n <li>Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling,  reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and lifting</li>\n <li>Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.</li>\n <li>May be required to work in confined spaces</li>\n <li>Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.)</li>\n <li>Ability to drive cars, trucks, forklifts and other equipment as needed </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Mental</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have the ability to direct others and also communicate effectively with management/ supervision and field workers</li>\n <li>Ability to speak clearly, read, and comprehend </li>\n <li>Ability to write and use math/complete calculations</li>\n <li>Work at various tempos, and concentrate amid distractions</li>\n <li>Decision making skills necessary</li>\n <li>Detail-oriented; must be able to remember, examine, and observe details</li>\n <li>Requires strong leadership and motivational skills</li>\n</ul>",
