The unit aims to prepare patients for discharge or continue care as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>9 North Tower A and B:&nbsp;</strong>This unit is divided into two parts, Side A and Side B. Side A is a 14-bed medical observation unit which aims for a stay of 48-72 hours, though some may stay longer due to ongoing medical issues. Side B of the unit is also medical observation. It contains 10 beds and provides care for patients with medical issues who may also have some Behavioral Health needs. For instance, they may exhibit aggressive behavior, challenging dementia cases, or suicidal/homicidal ideation. The unit is locked for safety, and patients are transferred to the Psychiatry Unit if behaviors persist after medical concerns are addressed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>10 Ardmore East:</strong>&nbsp;This is a 16-bed medical unit, where patients are usually admitted from the ED or step down from the ICU. The unit aims to prepare patients for discharge or continue care as needed. The team includes Interns, Residents, Medical Students, and Attending Physicians.&nbsp;</li>\n <li><strong>8 North B:&nbsp;</strong>This is a 10- bed open bay Med Surg unit, where patients go to wait for an inpatient bed.
