Our services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, rental subsidies, mental health services, substance recovery, and wrap-around services. All our services are trauma-sensitive and client-centered and are provided at no cost to our clients. All programs are low-barrier.  </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">RP is led by survivors with a focus on reflection, innovation, and connection.  We believe in fostering relationships, both in our direct service work and throughout our internal work culture. You are flexible, creative, and take initiative in handling emergencies. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">What qualifications are required for this position?</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">You Are Also:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Holding an Associate’s degree in social services or enrolled in a similar program at an accredited four year College/University. Experience may be substituted for the education requirement.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experienced in crisis intervention, individual and group counseling, and client advocacy.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Experienced working in a domestic violence and or homeless setting providing direct services. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Understanding of the dynamics of abusive relationships and a commitment to preventing violence in the home.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Knowledgeable of Trauma Informed Care as well as an understanding of, and sensitivity to, serving diverse populations. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Certified in the state mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence counselor certification. Can be arranged after hiring.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Able to lift 25 lbs. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">In possession of a valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and be approved by RP insurance as a driver in order to drive agency vehicles.  If a staff member cannot be approved by RP insurance as a driver, employment might not be able to continue.  Instances where staff cannot be approved to drive will be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine if employment can continue in their role without driving agency vehicles.  Items considered include but are not limited to: the shift the staff member holds and the frequency/necessity of driving during that shift, the amount of time before the staff member may be approved to drive by the insurance carrier, the availability of other staff on site to drive agency vehicles as program needs require, etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Able to complete a background check, fingerprinting (Live Scan), and completion of all Community Care Licensing requirement documents.  Able to meet all licensing requirements of Community Care Licensing.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">What You Will Do</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The function of the Residential Advocate (On-Call Alameda &amp; Solara) is to provide necessary shift coverage for the overall operation and function of RP shelter for individuals with a reported history of sex/labor trafficking, domestic violence, or who are at risk of such abuse. Additionally, the Residential Advocate will provide support and assistance to Case Management staff.  This position is on-call and does not have regularly scheduled hours. You will be contacted when there is an available shift to be filled. You must work a minimum of one 8 hour shift every other month.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities include</span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Monitors assigned area of facility during shifts</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Arrival must be punctual, as the schedule is firm and offers no flexibility. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Perform telephone screening for potential clients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Transport clients when needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Includes general maintenance and cleaning, chore supervision, stocking, and general supply inventory as part of extensive advocate duties.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide clerical support, including data entry and filing.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Provide confidential, holistic, client-centered, trauma-sensitive  services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Greet new residents, provide tours of the facility, and assist with room orientation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Assist with general facility operations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Offer in-person or phone shift coverage as backup for other Adult Residential Programs when needed.                                                                                          </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Complete and submit functional timesheets by the assigned due dates, adhering to the specified time allocations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Actively participate in reflective supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Participate actively in all RP meetings and training sessions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Document and maintain all job-related processes and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Cultivate an environment of inclusivity where all gender identities and expressions are affirmed and respected.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Working Conditions</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">This position is 100% in-person. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and perform physical activities, including lifting up to 25 pounds. You will be subject to frequent interruptions and must be able to multitask and handle stress.  Local travel in the greater Bay Area will be required.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Applying</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The pay scale for this role is $26 per hour (non-exempt).
