From roadway and drainage improvements to water, wastewater, and utility systems, our Public Works group provides innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions that make a lasting difference for municipalities, counties, and regional agencies across Texas.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to join our Public Works Department in Houston, TX. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of municipal infrastructure projects—including roadway, drainage, water, wastewater, and site development improvements. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, collaborate closely with clients and public agencies, and oversee all aspects of project execution to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions for communities across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all phases of public works projects, from planning and design through construction and closeout. Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery within established parameters. Lead and coordinate internal design teams, subconsultants, and client communications. Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Monitor project performance and implement quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Collaborate with municipal and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits. Conduct site visits, attend project meetings, and provide engineering support during construction. Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering professional growth and a collaborative work environment. Participate in business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and relationship management.
