We&#39;re hiring!</p><p>Viewpoint School is currently seeking a highly capable and <strong>hands-on</strong> Facilities Manager to lead a skilled team responsible for maintaining the School&rsquo;s mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and campus infrastructure systems. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring effective preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and high-quality service across the School&rsquo;s 40-acre campus.</p><p>The Facilities Manager will work directly with the Sr. Director of Operations/Facilities and will supervise and support maintenance technicians, coordinate daily operations, and ensure that all facilities systems function safely, efficiently, and in alignment with school standards. This role also supports campus events and contributes to small-scale construction and improvement projects.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Team Management</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise, mentor, and assign work to Maintenance Technicians and support staff</li><li>Work with Sr. Director of Operations to establish daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance schedules</li><li>Ensure high standards of workmanship, accountability, and responsiveness</li></ul><p><strong>Facilities Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Provide <strong>hands-on</strong> work in maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, and building systems</li><li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve facility-related issues across campus</li><li>Along with Sr. Director of Operations, coordinate and inspect work performed by outside contractors</li></ul><p><strong>Preventative Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li>Work with Sr. Director of Operations to improve and manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life</li><li>Proactively identify potential system failures and recommend solutions</li></ul><p><strong>Projects &amp; Campus Support</strong></p><ul><li>Support small construction, renovation, and improvement projects</li><li>Assist with event setup and breakdown, including occasional evenings and weekends</li><li>Collaborate with Operations leadership on campus improvements and planning</li></ul><p><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure adherence to OSHA and CAL-OSHA safety standards</li><li>Maintain a safe working environment for staff and campus community</li><li>Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable regulations</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum of five years of progressive experience in facilities or building maintenance, including</li><li>leadership or supervisory responsibilities</li><li>Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, carpentry, and general repairs</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage workload priorities</li><li>High school diploma or GED required; trade or technical certifications preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of OSHA and CAL-OSHA safety requirements</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively</li><li>Dependable, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><p>The Facilities Manager will work throughout the School&rsquo;s 40-acre campus in both indoor and outdoor environments.
