    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Title: &nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)</p><p><strong>Job Category: &nbsp;</strong>Service Provider&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports to:&nbsp;</strong>Program Director</p><p><strong>FLSA:&nbsp;</strong>Non-Exempt</p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>Assists the Physical Therapist (PT) in patient screenings, assessment, and evaluation processes. &nbsp;Implements physical therapy treatment plans as determined by the supervising PT. &nbsp; &nbsp;Informs the PT of patient status change, upcoming reassessment/assessment dates and any other relevant information regarding patient care. &nbsp;Assists the PT in insuring a collaborative supervisory process. &nbsp;Assists in the maintenance of a safe and orderly operating business and maintains equipment as assigned. &nbsp;Participates in educational, research, and quality improvements projects.</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum Education requirements:<ol><li>Passing the National Physical Therapy Examination test administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.</li><li>License or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant with the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department: &nbsp;New Mexico Physical Therapy Board</li><li>Graduation from accredited by the Commission Physical Therapy Assistant Program. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ol></li></ul><p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Works towards fulfilling Company&rsquo;s Mission, Vision and Values.</li><li>Performs a variety of therapy procedures on assigned caseload as directed by the PT.</li><li>Assists the PT in all aspects of the PT process.</li><li>Attends meetings (IFSP, IEP, Team Conferences) as assigned to discuss student treatment programs and physical therapy concerns.</li><li>Participates in team discussions in an articulate, positive, and productive manner.</li><li>Maintains assigned equipment in proper working order. &nbsp;Performs routines repairs.</li><li>Instructs staff, as assigned, in principles used in physical therapy, including but not limited to, motor skills, adaptive equipment use, patient safety, and other techniques specific to individual patient care.</li><li>Completes all documentation in a timely manner.</li><li>Attends departmental/business staff development activities.</li><li>Maintains proficiency in physical therapy by attending workshops, conferences and trainings offered by other therapists.</li><li>Attends all mandatory in-services and participates in Company committees as requested by supervisor.</li><li>May represent the Company while participating in community outreach events, activities, meetings, trainings, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Responds to emergency situations in a competent manner.</li><li>Adheres to PTA licensure requirements.</li><li>Adheres to established Company guidelines within Company&rsquo;s Official Documents.</li><li>Assists in quality management, research, public relations, and program development projects when appropriate.</li><li>Participates in Company&rsquo;s Professional Development Plan.</li><li>Carries out all responsibilities professionally and efficiently.</li><li>Maintains effective communications at all levels; within the work setting and company.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Due to the nature of the Company, service delivery settings will vary. &nbsp;Must be able to adapt to a variety of settings and be willing to work in clinical, community, and home settings.</li><li>Work area may be crowded.</li><li>Working schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.</li><li>Duties may involve being on one&rsquo;s feet for extended periods.</li><li>Duties may involve traveling to and from areas within the western region of New Mexico.</li><li>Duties may involve exposure to hazardous conditions using power tools, contagious diseases, and chemicals to repair/adjust patient equipment.</li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
