    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Senior Pipe Designer</strong></p><p>BMS Pascagoula Full Time Non-Executive</p><p>Pascagoula, MS, US</p><p style=\"margin-left:-.9pt;\"><br>GENERAL FUNCTION: Makes various calculations such as strength of materials, weights, simple forces, and stresses, frequently using charts and tables.&nbsp;</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Reviews and checks engineering deliverables produced by subordinates.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Creates innovative and cost effective solutions in the development of vessels.</li><li>Responsible for the development of equipment purchase specifications.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Reviews purchase specifications from other disciplines for compliance and integration with overall vessel.</li><li>Ensures that engineering deliverables conform to engineering design and customer specifications.</li><li>Consults with vendors on project related activities.</li><li>Actively interfaces with other engineering disciplines and production department.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must follow all Company policies and procedures, including those relative to employee safety, environmental policy, and the principles of our quality system.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Other duties assigned or requested by Management.&nbsp;</li><li>Works overtime as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Reports to work daily and on time.</li></ul><p><br>&nbsp;DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Working knowledge of USCG, ABS, SOLAS and government shipbuilding standards.</li><li>Working knowledge of marine systems and shipbuilding industry.</li><li>Team-oriented, can work well with others.</li><li>Good communication skills, both oral and written.</li><li>Able to train and supervise junior AutoCAD operators.</li></ul><p><br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;REQUIRED EXPERIENCE &amp; TRAINING: 8 years of experience in marine design.
