    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Serving under the direction of the Lead Facilities Assistant, supporting the logistics & maintenance services of the East Cleveland Corps Community Center. The Facilities Aide will support and maintain the Mission of The Salvation Army and the Vision of the East Cleveland Corps, in accordance with all applicable internal & external policies and procedures.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p>\n<p>As directed by the Lead Facilities Assistant:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>General maintenance of all Salvation Army property including parking lot areas; General facility upkeep includes cleaning every area (offices, classrooms, bathrooms, etc.) of the building including interior and exterior of facility – regular floor care (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, shampooing carpet, stripping & waxing) required </li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of air vents & intakes</li>\n <li>Ensure that the rooms are heating & cooling as necessary, reporting any concerns to the Director of Operations and/or Director of Operations</li>\n <li>Receive deliveries; ensuring that they are securely packed and covered. After packing away delivered items in pantry and/or storage areas, make sure that all spills are swept and mopped.</li>\n <li>Assist with inventory of cleaning supplies, purchasing under guidance of Corps Officers</li>\n <li>Assist with exterior grounds (sidewalks, field, lawns, overall perimeter) maintenance including trash, snow and ice removal</li>\n <li>Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior trash cans</li>\n <li>Assist with room setup & breakdown as necessary to facilitate operations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>OCCASIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong>:</p>\n<p>As directed by the Lead Facilities Assistant:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with stocking shelves of all food items adhering to applicable health codes & practices</li>\n <li>Participate in and support the implementation of special activities and event for the East Cleveland Corps.</li>\n <li>Be prepared and willing to assist with the administration of seasonal programs including Christmas Toys & Kettles, Back-To-School, etc.</li>\n <li>Any other duties as shall be required by the supervisor or Administration</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>\n<p>• High School Diploma/GED• Experience in field preferred but not required• Must be able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing work environment with the ability to multi-task. • Must possess organizational skills and be detail oriented. • Must possess a professional attitude and approach to problem-solving. • Must be able to relate well to all people and be a team player. • Must possess good communication skills.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Salvation Army Mission Statement</strong></em></p>\n<p>The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.</p>\n<p>Its message is based on the Bible.
