CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Electric Transmission Project Manager to join our Electric Transmission Team in Denver, CO or Houston, TX , where you’ll play a critical role in delivering robust transmission solutions that enhance system performance, grid reliability, and long‑term resiliency. This is an exciting opportunity to drive high‑voltage transmission projects that support renewable integration and the nation’s evolving energy needs. What You'll Do: Lead proposal development and create clear scopes, schedules, and budgets in coordination with electric transmission technical teams Serve as the primary client partner, addressing needs proactively and ensuring strong communication throughout each project Develop project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and direct task coordination across multidisciplinary project teams Manage project schedules, deliverables, approvals, and quality controls to keep work on track and aligned with contract requirements Oversee project financials—including budgets, forecasts, revenue, and cash flow—maintaining strong financial performance Direct contract administration, subcontractor coordination, and critical project documentation Lead regular project meetings and provide timely progress updates to clients and internal stakeholders Support marketing efforts, help identify new opportunities, and contribute to the growth of CHA’s Electric Transmission portfolio What You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience; minimum of 6 years of project management experience required Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; PMP certification preferred Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practices Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) as well as Microsoft Office Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws Proven ability to manage client relationships and interpret client contract requirements Demonstrated experience preparing proposals, project plans, extra work authorizations, and project closeout documents required Experience managing project accounting processes—including forecasting, budgeting, revenue, and cash flow—required Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Ability to solve problems independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills with the ability to adapt style for various audiences Ability to travel as needed required Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred Why You'll Love It Here: Lead innovative electric transmission projects that make a lasting impact on sustainability Work alongside passionate engineers, planners, and technical specialists who drive excellence in every phase of delivery Enjoy a collaborative, growth‑focused culture where your ideas, expertise, and professional development are valued Curious about the impactful work our Electric Transmission team is doing?
