Description We’re searching for a Project Manager of Community Benefits and Partnerships, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll be responsible for initiating, defining, and managing high-profile projects of considerable complexity. This position sets out the strategic direction for the assigned area of responsibility, ensuring completion of projects related to quality processes, systems, linkages, documentation, reporting, metrics, and review. You’ll plan, organize, collaborate on, and evaluate community outreach programs and partnerships. You’ll support organizational efforts in stewarding external partnerships and collaborations, such as visits and system-wide events, and serve as a liaison between cross-functional departments to support special visitors and events. Job Duties & Responsibilities Works closely with the Community Benefits Steering Team (executive leaders, physicians, and stakeholders) across the organization and leads efforts to formulate and communicate the future vision of community health, and develops strategies to achieve that vision Develops, executes, and monitors a Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Benefits strategy for the hospital system, evaluates emerging community health models, and implements population-based health improvement plans in partnership with other institutions or community entities Participates in local and regional groups, agencies, and organizational meetings to advocate for vulnerable populations, and promotes and facilitates community outreach, partnership development, and collaborative planning Oversees Community Benefit work distribution and department operations Analyzes, measures, and drives project performance using data gathering tools and methods required for project execution, and communicates and disseminates timely data analysis and findings to management and relevant stakeholders or committees Participates in departmental strategic planning, generates and communicates ideas to improve quality or service, and sets priorities and develops strategies to advance community benefit initiatives across the system Prepares estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of projects, and provides support for complex financial decision-making related to project scope as needed Collaborates with Government Reporting, Government Relations, and supporting departments to create social accountability reports and community benefit activity summaries for tax reporting purposes, and supports legislative efforts as a subject matter expert in Community Benefit reporting and narrative development Develops strategies to secure and manage funding for community-based health improvement programs, works closely with Community Sponsorships, and establishes criteria for external agencies to receive funding Coordinates all aspects of the Community Benefit Partner program, including gift agreements Leads efforts to support cross-functional teams in hosting community members and special visitors, and leads coordination across departments for system-wide programs, events, and tours, while supporting organizational processes for unpaid workforce Provides a concierge experience for corporate donors, volunteers, special visitors, and volunteer groups, and consults and coordinates resources and programming with key operational partners Develops and implements departmental priorities that support the organization’s strategic plan and drive continuous performance improvement based on metrics, trends, benchmarks, and performance improvement initiatives Skills & Requirements Bachelor's Degree Health Sciences, Community Health, Non-Profit Management, Government Relations, or related degree required Master's Degree Health Sciences, Community Health, Non-Profit Management, Government Relations, or related degree preferred 3 years Community Health, Population Health, Project Management, Healthcare, or related field required 1 year Business Administration, Hospitality, Global Information Systems, or related field preferred A master's degree in health sciences, Community Health, Non-Profit Management, Government Relations, or related degree can be substituted for two (2) years of experience Company Since 1954, Texas Children’s has been leading the charge in patient care, education and research to accelerate health care for children and women around the world.
