    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking experienced <strong>Real Estate Review Appraisers</strong> to serve as the agency’s subject matter experts for appraisal reviews related to <strong>right-of-way acquisitions, easements, and partial takings</strong>. These positions will ensure appraisal products comply with <strong>Federal standards, USPAP, and the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions (UASFLA)</strong>.  The ideal candidates will hold the <strong>MAI designation</strong> from the Appraisal Institute, , and/or the <strong>ARA designation from the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA)</strong>, and a <strong>Certified General Real Property Appraiser license</strong>, with demonstrated experience reviewing complex appraisal assignments for federally funded infrastructure projects. In addition, the candidates will hold a <strong>Certified General Appraiser license</strong> following standards set by the <strong>Appraiser Qualifications Board.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The agency’s increasing workload in right of way acquisition and federally funded infrastructure projects requires <strong>senior-level review appraisers</strong> with the highest professional credentials. The MAI or ARA designation is critical to ensuring appraisal credibility, compliance, and defensibility in eminent domain cases and project funding approvals. We are honored to be recognized as a company that values a people-centered culture, and we are grateful to our employees for making this possible!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review, analyze, and approve appraisals for <strong>right of way projects, corridor acquisitions, easements, and eminent domain proceedings</strong>.</li>\n <li>Ensure technical compliance with <strong>UASFLA, USPAP, and Federal regulations</strong>.</li>\n <li>Provide written appraisal reviews and recommendations to leadership.</li>\n <li>Serve as a resource and advisor to project managers, attorneys, and acquisition specialists regarding valuation methodology.</li>\n <li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior appraisers and acquisition staff.</li>\n <li>Represent the agency as an <strong>expert witness</strong> in administrative hearings and court proceedings.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain internal guidance, policies, and training related to appraisal and review processes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>MAI </strong>(Appraisal Institute) or <strong>ARA </strong>(ASFMRA) <strong>designation</strong>.</li>\n <li><strong>Certified General Appraiser license </strong>following standards set by the <strong>Appraiser Qualifications Board.</strong></li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in real estate, finance, economics, business, or related field.</li>\n <li>Minimum of <strong>8–10 years of progressively responsible real estate appraisal experience</strong> with at least 3 years in <strong>review appraisal for federal land acquisition  projects</strong>.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated knowledge of UASFLA (Yellow Book), USPAP, 49 CFR Part 24 (Uniform Act), and eminent domain appraisal practices.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to prepare review reports and provide expert testimony.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Federal or State agency experience with <strong>right of way acquisition programs</strong>.</li>\n <li>Experience coordinating with legal counsel, engineers, and acquisition specialists.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>federal land acquisition regulations</strong> and relocation assistance programs.</li>\n <li>Prior service as a review appraiser for federal land acquisition, corridor or large-scale infrastructure projects.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Target salary range: $100k - 140k</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Disclaimer:</p>\n<p>The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
