This role involves assisting with the preparation, execution, and post-procedure care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and the efficient operation of the surgical team.</p><div style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;border:none;border-bottom:solid windowtext 2.25pt;padding:0in 0in 0in 0in;'><h6 style='margin-top:12.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:3.0pt;margin-left:0in;font-size:15px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;border:none;padding:0in;'><span style='font-size:13px;font-family:\"Calibri\",sans-serif;'>Essential Functions</span></h6></div><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Assist with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are available.</li><li>Act as scrub technologist during surgical procedures, working directly with the surgeon and circulating nurse.</li><li>Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments, ensuring patient safety.</li><li>Assist with patient positioning, considering body alignment, circulation, and pressure points.</li><li>Assist physicians and anesthesia personnel as needed during surgical procedures.</li><li>Work with the anesthesia department with stocking and ordering anesthesia supplies as needed.</li><li>Participate in the turnover of the OR in a timely manner.</li><li>Assist Central Sterile Processing as needed.</li><li>Practice and monitor aseptic techniques to prevent infection and contamination.</li><li>Participate in the surgical time-out process per facility policy to ensure patient safety.</li><li>Review and update physician preference cards as needed with the supervision of the Clinical Manager.</li><li>Clean and prepare instruments and equipment after use, returning them to the proper area for storage or processing.</li><li>Differentiate sterilization methods required for specific instruments and equipment.</li><li>Prepare and monitor high-level disinfectant solutions, ensuring their efficacy.</li><li>Assist the Operating Room RN with the handling of specimens according to facility policies and procedures, ensuring proper labeling and care.</li><li>Provide a safe environment for patients and personnel, respecting patients&#39;
