The Chinatown YMCA is seeking a qualified Assistant Program Director who, under the supervision of the Program Director, will supervise Case Planners in the Family Support Program, review progress reports, assist in facilitating parent/guardian group meetings and workshops, make referrals, and follow up with community and sponsoring agencies. The Assistant Program Director will be responsible for the overall quality and efficiency of the Preventive Services Program, supervising professional staff on clinical and programmatic issues, and reporting program needs and challenges to the Program Director biweekly. School-Based Early Support- Catchment 1, 2, 3 (Districts 1 2) School Communities: P.S. 140, P.S. 142, P.S. 188, M.S. 131, P.S. 15, P.S. 124 MCS1, MCS2 Community Pathway Worker Key Responsibilities: Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment that embraces the diversity of all participants. Responsible for the overall quality and efficiency of the Preventive Services Program. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, including the program’s Case Planners, Administrative Assistant, and may also include paraprofessional staff and interns. Analyze statistics, ensure contract compliance, and participate in the program’s annual self-evaluation process. Interpret/devise agency operation policies in order to ensure services are provided to a good standard. Conduct program planning and evaluation. Ensure documents are updated weekly. Serve 12+ families monthly, if needed, and in the absence of a Case Planner, and maintain 100% utilization. Coordinate the center’s programs with the community needs and resources, and maintain liaison with other community-based organizations. Consult regularly with various funding sources and with the Program Director regarding program operation. Review, correct, and revise progress notes according to ACS/APA/PAMS expectations. Maintain progress notes and FASPS in a timely manner for each case and meet with Case Planners weekly. Comply with YMCA requirements and Administration for Children Services, coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement efforts across programs, and, if applicable, collaborate with senior staff in the development and implementation of the staff training component. Advocate for the needs of immigrant families, along with community leaders and administrations of Social Service agencies. Represent the agency in the community, city, and state, act as a liaison, and collaborate with agencies that clients are involved with. Attend meetings, participate in various committees, and arrange training sessions with the workforce institute. Actively participate in training sessions, designated meetings, and special events, as requested by the Program Director. Adhere to all Department of Health, YMCA of Greater New York, and funder standards, expectations, and regulations. Assist and supervise the parent/guardian group. Clinical Services Support Facilitate the staff SOL and CPW in several offerings of the weekly Evidence-Based Model Triple P Group for all school families who enroll. Implement and integrate the principles and procedures of Solution-Based Casework: assessment, family and individual level outcomes, action plans, documentation, and celebration. Facilitate case consultation and offer support and guidance to ensure staff are adhering to the tenets of SBC. Participate in continued SBC training, coaching, and the SBC certification process. Supervision/Professional Development Partner closely with the Program Director on the general functioning of the prevention program. Actively participate in weekly supervision with the Program Director. Ensure the staff assigned to the school are in compliance, providing support, and meeting the needs of the assigned families. Desired Skills Experience: Master’s Degree in Social Work with a minimum of five (5) years of post-graduate work experience with progressively increasing responsibility. One (1) to two (2) years of work experience required.
