    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Markon is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure in a secure, mission-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have deep experience managing Linux and Windows environments, implementing security best practices, and supporting complex server ecosystems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor system logs, applications, and infrastructure health on a daily basis; implement automation wherever possible</li>\n <li>Perform system backups and data archiving in accordance with Sponsor-approved schedules</li>\n <li>Harden Linux systems following information security engineering principles and industry best practices</li>\n <li>Maintain and administer enterprise server environments, including:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Windows Servers</li>\n  <li>Linux Servers</li>\n  <li>Oracle Database Servers</li>\n  <li>Apache Servers</li>\n  <li>DNS Servers</li>\n  <li>Domain Controllers</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Apply server patches and operating system updates in accordance with ISSM requirements; automate patching processes when feasible</li>\n <li>Assist with hardware and software procurement, installation, and implementation</li>\n <li>Manage software licensing and ensure renewals are completed in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Obtain required Sponsor waivers as needed</li>\n <li>Submit Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Requests for Change (RFCs) through appropriate channels</li>\n <li>Collaborate closely with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and customer security teams</li>\n <li>Recommend and implement improvements to system reliability, availability, and maintainability</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph </li>\n <li>Minimum 10 years of experience in configuration management and enterprise systems administration</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field</li>\n <li>Demonstrated team-based experience supporting:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Linux and Windows servers</li>\n  <li>Oracle database servers</li>\n  <li>DNS servers and domain controllers</li>\n  <li>Network storage devices</li>\n  <li>HP servers</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Experience designing, configuring, and installing enterprise information systems including routers, switches, servers, storage systems, and end-user devices</li>\n <li>Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows-based domains</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting the full DevOps lifecycle, including build pipeline integration, automated deployments, compliance scanning, and test-driven development</li>\n <li>Experience deploying, provisioning, operating, and maintaining Linux environments (CentOS and Ubuntu)</li>\n <li>Experience implementing and maintaining systems in compliance with Information Security (INFOSEC) and Information Assurance (IA) policies (e.g., ICD 503)</li>\n <li>Experience implementing development and testing automation tools and IT infrastructure solutions</li>\n <li>Experience managing virtualized infrastructure environments</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
