    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Human Resources announces openings for Summer School Physical Therapists. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>ESY Physical Therapist Vacancies (In Person)</strong></p>\n<p>Elementary Locations: Glebe (PreK Developmental), Innovation (MIPA), Fleet (DHH/Life skills/Interlude), Carlin Springs&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Secondary Locations: Kenmore MS and Wakefield HS, Shriver&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>July 6, 2026 through July 31, 2026</p>\n<p>Professional Days and Orientation: July 1, 2<br><br>\n &nbsp;</p>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum level of education is a bachelor's degree in physical therapy, including clinical training, from an accredited college or university.</li>\n <li>Must have passed the physical therapy licensure examination and hold a current Virginia license to practice as issued by the Virginia Board of Medicine.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Experience: &nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in the public school system physical therapy program or pediatrics.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with physical therapy assessments appropriate for school age children and pertinent to the educational environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively (in writing and orally) with educational personnel, administrators, parents, students, and community members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Responsibilities Include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Function as an itinerant clinician to provide appropriate \"educational model\" physical therapy service for identified students.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Collaborate with teachers and school staff to provide integrated programs for identified students</li>\n <li>Assess and evaluate students with disabilities, interpret results, and plan for appropriate intervention services in collaboration with the IEP Committee.</li>\n <li>Working with students preschool-age through 21 years of age, with a variety of disabilities.</li>\n <li>Collaborating with regular and special education teachers to provide integrated educational programming.</li>\n <li>Document student progress including IEP updates/Progress Reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Considerations for hire:</p>\n<p>All applicants must complete a pre-interview questionnaire linked here</p>\n<p><a href=\"https://forms.gle/kmrwV2F6FeD72eDq9\" target=\"_blank\">https://forms.gle/kmrwV2F6FeD72eDq9</a></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Conditions for hire:</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Once you have been hired, then you will need to sign your contract and return it to HR through the link they send you.&nbsp;&nbsp;You are NOT hired until you return the letter.</li>\n <li>Ensure you are aware of dates and times you are required to report to the building.</li>\n</ol>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Arlington Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></p>\n<p><strong>It is the policy of the Arlington School Board, as stated in Policy G-2.30, Employee Relations – Equal Employment Opportunity - that “Employment opportunities shall not be restricted, abridged or otherwise adversely affected on the basis of race, national origin, creed, color, religion, gender, age, economic status, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, genetic information, gender identity or expression, and/or disability.”</strong></p>",
