Description

Overview CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time Chief Officer to join our transhipment vessel, Donnacona on a roster schedule of 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This vessel operates in Cape Preston, Western Australia and is a 24/7 operation for our customer: CITIC Pacific Mining. Reporting to the Master, the Chief Officer is the head of the Deck Department. The Chief Officer will be responsible for: Designated safety officer; The safe and efficient planning of cargo and ballast handling operations; Providing guidance and support to the Deck Officers including Deck Cadets; Having comprehensive knowledge of all maintenance and repair needs of the deck and throughout the accommodation; Assuming Masters responsibilities and command of the vessel in the absence of the Master. The skills you will bring to our team Basic Requirements AMSA Chief Officer COC/COR Unlimited (required) Education Requirement: As per AMSA Marine Order 71 (mandatory) Technical Requirement: minimum 5 years sea time as a Watchkeeper Deck (mandatory) STCW regulation II/2 MSIC Card (required) Australian Citizen or hold a valid Australian working visa without working restrictions Living in an Australian state (required) Be able to wear a respirator while on deck Why CSL?
