The position will support project needs by computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) using Civil 3D software for a variety of environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering design projects. We are seeking a motivated individual who can develop layouts, grading plans, and details for engineering projects, including landfills, industrial sites, and utilities. We offer <u>competitive pay and benefits, and well-being programs</u> to support you and your family.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>To Learn More Visit: http://www.geosyntec.com/careers/.</p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate a CAD computer using appropriate hardware and Civil 3D software to develop figures, drawings, and assist with developing drawing sets;</li>\n <li>Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using appropriate and efficient methods, and adhering to Geosyntec drafting standards;</li>\n <li>Understand and visualize overall civil/geotechnical engineering concepts, such as grading, and translating abstract concepts to design drawings;</li>\n <li>Analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine best approach to complete drawings and assist with completing drawing sets;</li>\n <li>Copy detailed plans and drawings, and perform non-routine complex drafting assignments;</li>\n <li>Operate plotter, printer, scanner, and other input/output devices;</li>\n <li>Proofread CAD drawings for accuracy, format, and grammar;</li>\n <li>Participate in CAD Action Group, by supporting, networking, and collaborating to improve CAD standards and efficiencies across the company; </li>\n <li>Work collaboratively with other Geosyntec CAD practitioners to prepare design drawings and details and review completed work products to ensure quality; and</li>\n <li>Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills, Experience and Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of Associate’s degree in Drafting. (required)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of civil engineering basics including sheet organization, topographical data, scales, and coordinate systems. (required)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of the latest releases of Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience using Civil 3D, including but not limited to surfaces, alignments, profiles, profile views, cross-sections, data shortcuts, surface analyses, volume calculations, sheet set manager with fields, and coordinate systems. (required)</li>\n <li>Qualified candidate will be required to take a Geosyntec Civil 3D exam to show proficiency in the software, will be conducted during interview process.</li>\n <li>Experience using AutoCAD, including but not limited to annotation styles, multileaders, MTEXT, dimensions, scales, paper space/model space, XREFs, layers, dynamic blocks, and tool palettes. (required)</li>\n <li>Experience using/incorporating land or aerial surveying/mapping data and files. (required)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of stormwater management design. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of landfill design. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Familiarization with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) as cloud-based storage. (preferred)</li>\n <li>Experience using the latest releases of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Adobe PDF, and Windows File Explorer. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to perform basic math skills including applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. (required)</li>\n <li>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret red line drawings from Engineers, CAD Managers, or others on the project team. (required)</li>\n <li>Strong reasoning and communication skills to include the ability to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions, and the ability to interact effectively to maintain a team environment. (required)</li>\n <li>Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)</li>\n <li>Candidates must currently hold and maintain valid U.S. work authorization.
