Whether you're advancing national security, driving innovation in nuclear infrastructure, or supporting critical DOE and DoD operations, you’re part of something bigger here.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated SQL Developer to support ongoing operations in Greenville, SC. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are seeking a highly experienced SQL Developer with a minimum of eight (8) years of</p>\n<p>professional experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex database solutions. The</p>\n<p>ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SQL programming, relational database design,</p>\n<p>and performance tuning, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver scalable</p>\n<p>and reliable data solutions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.</li>\n <li>Optimize existing queries and database structures for improved performance and scalability.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with analysts, developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.</li>\n <li>Perform data modeling, schema design, and documentation for new and existing projects.</li>\n <li>Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational standards.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and query optimization.</li>\n <li>Support ETL processes and contribute to data integration initiatives.</li>\n <li>Stay current with emerging database technologies and industry best practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent</p>\n<p>experience).</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen. </li>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check. </li>\n <li>Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance. </li>\n <li>Skilled with building systems to system and systems to SQL integrations using the Microsoft technology stack: SSIS, .NET for custom API integrations, Azure Data Factory, etc.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture with Microsoft SQL or Dataverse.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous DOE/NNSA work experience. </li>\n <li><p>Minimum eight (8) years of professional experience as a SQL Developer or Database</p><p>Developer.</p></li>\n <li><p>Advanced proficiency in SQL.</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong background in relational database management systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Proven expertise in query optimization and database performance tuning.</p></li>\n <li><p>Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools.</p></li>\n <li><p>Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and best practices.</p></li>\n <li><p>Familiarity with version control systems.</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical</p><p>details into business terms.</p></li>\n <li>Experience with object-oriented programming including C# is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Schedule</h2>Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n<h2>Why Omega Technical Services?</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a trusted partner to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other commercial clients, supporting mission-critical projects that shape national security and technological innovation.
