Build relationships. Drive sales. Lead a better business. The Stone Center-Bridgewater is seeking a high-impact Store Manager / Branch Manager to lead and grow our Bridgewater, NJ location. This role is ideal for a proven store manager or branch manager who excels at growing sales and profitability by building contractor-customer relationships, while also managing store operations and team performance. This is not a maintenance role. We are looking for a hands-on business leader who can grow revenue, expand market share, and improve overall store performance. What You’ll Be Responsible For Drive store sales, revenue growth, and market share through contractor and B2B relationships Build, develop, and expand a book of business with contractors, landscapers, and trade professionals Act as a hands-on Store Manager / Branch Manager, leading day-to-day store operations Own store-level P&L, profitability, and financial performance Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales and operations team Ensure strong execution of merchandising, inventory management, and product mix optimization Improve inventory turns, accuracy, and overall operational efficiency Maintain excellence in customer experience, service, and store presentation Partner with regional leadership on pricing strategy, promotions, and business development initiatives Enforce safety, compliance, and operational standard What Success Looks Like Increased store sales and contractor-driven revenue growth Strong, repeat customer relationships and account development Measurable improvement in store profitability, margin, and performance High-performing, accountable store team and sales culture Efficient, disciplined, and well-executed store operations What We’re Looking For 5+ years of store or branch management experience required 5+ years of experience in distribution, building materials, landscape supply, or related industry Proven success driving sales through contractor or B2B relationships Strong ability to build and grow a book of business and local market presence Experience managing P&L, inventory, and operations Hands-on manager and leader comfortable both in the yard and working directly with customers Strong communication and relationship-building skills Experience with ERP systems, inventory control, and operational processes preferred Compensation Base Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 (based on experience) Incentive Compensation: Eligible for participation in a performance-based incentive program with competitive bonus earning potential . Bonus opportunities are based on individual and store performance and are subject to plan terms. The compensation range provided represents a good faith estimate of the base salary for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
