As an intern at AES, you’ll work closely with professionals in the respective field of interest, learn valuable skills, and participate in meaningful projects, while making a positive impact and having fun through work. AES internships are designed to provide exposure to the energy sector and enhance your career prospects<b>. </b>The Portfolio Asset Management team is critical in the operation of a large fleet of renewable and energy storage projects, ensuring the optimal financial performance of our rapidly growing fleet.  </p><p></p><p><b>Skills and Qualifications</b> </p><ul><li>Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.</li><li>Innately curious, quick learner, and possesses strong analytical skills. </li><li>Strong teammate, proactive and capable of driving projects forward. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify sophisticated topics. </li><li>Proficient in forming persuasive arguments and addressing diverse partners. </li><li>Understanding of energy market, and passion for the energy transition and a greener future. </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Portfolio Asset Management Summer Intern, Portfolio Asset Management: </b>This role includes project reporting, financial, commercial and compliance management, administrative tasks, and coordination and oversight of the operations and maintenance of the assets.  </p><p></p><p><i>Responsibilities:</i> </p><ul><li>Supervise a portfolio of sophisticated renewable energy assets.   </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial results while balancing risk. </li><li>Enhance and automate core processes and collaborations within AES Clean Energy.  </li><li>Act as the Owner’s Representative for assigned AES Clean Energy project portfolios.   </li><li>Manage assigned project and portfolio’s financial matters (P&amp;L responsibility), and budgets.  </li><li>Support outage resolution or mitigation.  </li></ul><p></p><p><i>Additional Skills and Qualifications:</i> </p><ul><li>Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, analytical and time management skills. </li><li>Diligent and self-motivated with strong presentation and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Understands project finance, legal contracts, accounting, and is proficient in Microsoft Office. </li></ul><p></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion.
