    "description": "<h2>Position Title</h2>Chargemaster Analyst\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><b>Purpose & Scope:</b> </p>\n<p>The role of the Chargemaster Analyst has several components including routine data validation, collaboration with outside vendors, performing monthly Chargemaster maintenance and leading code update initiatives. The Chargemaster Analyst will audit and examine the Chargemaster on a routine basis, analyze charge capture data and perform revenue monitoring functions. Regular reviews to ensure adherence with accurate charging, complete documentation and efficient billing in accordance with government regulations will be performed. This role involves resolving charge and coding issues, managing databases and reports, The position requires strong knowledge of billing, coding, and financial operations, along with expertise in medical terminology and healthcare billing systems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Education:</b> </p>\n<p>Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Supply Chain, or a related field is required.</p>\n<p>Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Experience:</b> </p>\n<p>Six (6) years' of healthcare related experience is preferred.</p>\n<p>Charge Master, EAP and coding experience are highly preferred.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><b>Certification/Licensure:</b> </p>\n<p>Coding certification is preferred</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of healthcare coding and billing systems.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of medical terminology.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include strong customer service skills and excellent email etiquette to support internal and external customers</li>\n <li>Demonstrated critical thinker and problem solver</li>\n <li>Ability to operate in high-pressure situations</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills</li>\n <li>Demonstrated innovative approach to problem resolution</li>\n <li>Ability to work collaboratively across VHC Health entities and disciplines</li>\n <li>Demonstrated commitment to patient and family centered care</li>\n <li>Effective analytical ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and assist leadership in solving problems and issues</li>\n <li>Ability to function independently and deal with competing priorities</li>\n <li>Ability to recognize personal strengths and weaknesses and develop goals for professional growth and achievement</li>\n <li>Ability to demonstrate a commitment to quality and excellence</li>\n <li>Exhibits confidence, appropriate risk taking and achievement of high standards</li>\n <li>Positive, can-do attitude coupled with a sense of urgency</li>\n <li>Good judgment and ability to act decisively at the right time</li>\n <li>Effective communication skills both in written and verbal</li>\n <li>Ability to work as a part of a team</li>\n <li>Ability to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction including employees, patients, visitors, faculty, referring physicians, and external stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>",
