The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and managing a wide variety of cases, often complicated by indistinct symptoms or overlapping conditions, across a patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The cost of living is quite reasonable, with quality homes at good prices.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Triage and Diagnosis:</strong> Serves as a Medical Officer in the Emergency Room (ER), receiving patients with diverse and complex conditions. Exercises significant independent judgment to accurately diagnose and treat patients presenting with indistinct or overlapping symptoms.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Critical Decision-Making:</strong> Makes immediate, critical decisions and initiates treatment for difficult emergency cases, including heart attacks, head injuries, lacerations, seizures, and other life-threatening conditions.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Direct Patient Treatment:</strong> Treats the physical condition of the patient (e.g., administers intravenous fluids for heat exhaustion, prescribes medication) or recognizes and refers patients to a specialist for further diagnosis and treatment when necessary.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Surgical Procedures:</strong> Performs minor surgery as required, such as incision and drainage (I&D) of abscesses, I&D of hemorrhoids, and suturing lacerations.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Leadership and Supervision:</strong> Instructs and supervises other medical personnel in the care and treatment of patients, serving as a Senior Specialist and mentor within the department.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Medication Management:</strong> Administers and prescribes appropriate medicine and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Record Keeping:</strong> Accurately records all relevant medical data and case history in the <strong>Composite Health Care System (CHCS)</strong>.</p></li>\n <li><p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3>\n<p><strong>US Citizenship required</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Education:</strong> Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical school.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Residency:</strong> Completion of an accredited residency in emergency medicine.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Proven experience Board Certified emergency medicine Physicians </p></li>\n   <li><p>Postgraduate clinical experience in emergency medicine is required.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li><p><strong>Licensure and Certification:</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li><p>Valid state medical license and current registration to practice.</p></li>\n   <li><p>Board certification or eligibility by ABEM or AOBEM.</p></li>\n   <li><p><strong>Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.</strong></p></li>\n   <li><p>ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications are highly desirable.</p></li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>",
