Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, apply risk-based thinking to prevent defects, and demonstrate strong communication, organization, and data analysis skills.\\n\\n\\n \\n\\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities of the Job: \\n\\n\\n\\tLead and support APQP activities with suppliers and internal teams, including risk reviews, deliverable tracking, and readiness assessments.\\n\\tReview, approve, and coordinate PPAP submissions in accordance with AIAG and customer-specific requirements to ensure timely submission and launch readiness.\\n\\tPlan and conduct supplier quality management system, product, and process audits, including potential supplier assessments and special audits as needed.\\n\\tDrive supplier corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D and A3 to address nonconforming material, customer concerns, and warranty or field issues when applicable.\\n\\tManage supplier quality containment and disposition activities, including quarantine, hold, sorting, rework, and return-to-supplier actions.\\n\\tAnalyze supplier performance data, including PPM, quality-related delivery disruptions, audit scores, scrap, and cost of poor quality, to establish improvement priorities and action plans.\\n\\tCoordinate measurement and inspection requirements, including gage selection and approval, MSA (GR&amp;R), and inspection methods for incoming or supplier-managed inspection.\\n\\tReview and support the development of PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and process flow diagrams to ensure effective controls are in place.\\n\\tSupport engineering deviations and product or process changes by ensuring proper risk assessment, validation, and documentation updates, including PPAP when required.\\n\\tPartner with Purchasing and Sourcing on supplier selection, development, and supplier scorecards, and provide quality input for supplier-related business decisions.\\n\\tFacilitate regular supplier quality reviews and communicate expectations, status, and escalation needs to suppliers and internal leadership.\\n\\tSupport new product launches by coordinating run-at-rate and production trial evaluations and ensuring capability and control effectiveness through SPC and capability studies as applicable.\\n\\tMaintain accurate quality records and reports, including supplier complaints, SCARs, audit reports, PPAP status, concessions, deviations, and other key metrics.\\n\\tTrain and coach suppliers and internal stakeholders on applicable quality requirements, including customer-specific requirements and standardized problem-solving methods.\\n\\tLead or support continuous improvement projects to reduce defects, improve process capability, and lower the cost of poor quality.\\n\\tCoordinate and, when needed, perform product testing and validation activities required by specifications, control plans, or customer requirements.\\n\\tEnsure suppliers maintain required certifications and compliance documentation, including IATF certification, IMDS/ELV, and RoHS/REACH where applicable, and notify the organization of changes that could affect compliance.\\n\\tTravel to supplier and customer sites as needed to support audits, launches, and corrective action activities.\\n\\tOther duties as assigned by the Director of Quality.\\n\\n\\nKey Performance Metrics:\\n\\n\\n\\tSafety: Promote safe working conditions internally and externally and verify that suppliers follow environmental practices aligned with organizational goals.\\n\\tQuality: Ensure suppliers deliver high-quality products that meet or exceed internal and external requirements and assess performance against those standards.\\n\\tDelivery: Ensure suppliers have processes in place to maintain reliable supply and prevent disruptions to UACJ operations.\\n\\tCost: Review supplier operations to ensure efficient production methods, effective inventory management, and alignment with organizational cost and performance objectives.\\n\\n\\nPhysical Demands: Requires standing or walking a total of 2-4 hours in an 8 hour day, but occasionally more than 1 hour at any one time;
